I would rather loose a few quid than loose a member of my family.. or them getting injured in anyway! .. I might be going over the top, but its the way I am feeling at the moment.

Me and my partner are flying out to Sarigerme staying at the Pegasos Tropical on sept:4th Had heard of the heavy security there which did nothing for my nerves as it was but the latest news is really makeing me have second thoughts about going now.:(

me my wife and daughter fly out tonight 22:40 weve been ponderin all day what to do in the weve decided we should go ,if you dont theyve won were just gona see can we have some kind of a good holiday weve got family that went out this week they are a bit shook up but life goes on at the end of the day only you can make your own mind up

I was quite alarmed when out in Sarigerme in May when I saw that the area is patrolled by heavily armed soldiers. It was explained to me then that this is to protect tourists. This area is under the control of the Jandarma whereas the area of Marmaris is under the control of the "Polis". I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong here.
Anyway, to get to the point I'm trying to make. I'm going back to PP end of September and I feel a little less worried about going because I know the area is controlled by soldiers and feel it is less attractive to terrorists because of this. The PP is quite out the way of the town and even the beaches have security on them to stop anyone getting in that way.
I hope this makes you feel a little more at ease.

I have tryed ringing Excel holidays to see what that would saying about my holiday but i cant get them to answer the phone .

Dont let this put you off as we have lived in Northern Ireland all our lives and as most of you know look at the trouble we have had here. We are going to Icmeler next Monday and are going out to enjoy ourselves.

I have lived in Northern Ireland for the last twenty years and seen bomb's shootings and god knows what else but I have also read and seen loads of other terrorist issue's in most of the UK and Spain, Bali, The USA.
I go to Marmaris next Tuesday and I won't be put off by this recent scare, in fact I feel saver going to Turkey than going to England where people get stabbed getting off buses and children kidnapped on a daily basis.

Unfortunately a Bomb has gone of today at 17--00 Hrs. which has killed 3 people.This happened in the centre of Antalya.Not something I wish to report as I live here.A further 6 people have been injured.No more news at present.
