It's due to re-open 1st November 2006. We're going on the 27th November, so hope they've completed all the refurbishment by then. It's now rated as 4* as opposed to 3* when it was Lohifushi. From what I've managed to find out, it's been taken over by a different hotel company and they've added 26 water bungalows to the resort.

Just to let you know Timor, we had a letter from Thomson last week saying that the resort is going to overrun it renovation completion date. It was scheduled to open on the 1st November, but is now due to open until the 15th December.

As we were booked for the 27th Nov. we've been given the alternative destination of Meedhuppura, also a 4* rating.

Thomson Pre departures have only contacted customers due to travel upto and including 04DEC06, however the hotel is on stop sale until 08JAN07, though this date could be brought forward. If you are travelling there between these dates you should be contacted shorty to be offerred an alternative, or the opportunity to canx foc.
Please call them on 0870 607 5016 to find out the latest information, as pax are contacted in date order, so although they know the hotel will not be open for your holiday, they will only contact you once pax who are travelling before you have been contacted.
