I think Laine meant this topic rather than a separate Emerald forum.

I merge any posts on the Emerald into this one so that all the information is in one place and members don't have to go searching through several different topics to find it all.

It's not too late to post a review of your last cruise if your pc is OK now.

skykins

If you post the ports you are visiting, perhaps some of our members will be able to help.

the itenerary is as follows, not necessarily in the right order tho:

corfu
valetta
tripoli ) my understanding is that these 3 we have to go
alexandria ) on the ship tours as we do not have a seperate
port said ) visa so which ones are good??
marmaris
heraklion
limassol

thanks in advance for any advice, also any advice as to rough cost of tours would be helpful

Sorry for the delay...have had builders from hell to deal with. Had a great time on The Emerald and I'm looking forward to the Adriatic leg of the cruise next year. Will post a full review on "Emerald" cruise reviews asap. Only thing I would make quick comment on now was one of the shows "We'll meet again" didn't seem to go down well with some of the audience (especially the Germans) and even some Scottish guests were shouting out "It wasn't just the Londoners that fought in the war you know !" Also don't put up with table 1 in Chantrelle dining room - it's awful, tucked away in a corner and you miss everything going on in the restaurant when the waiters sing etc.

Shykins - only port we did out of those you listed was Marmaris (before the 3 bombs that have just gone off) It was a beautiful place, very friendly, shops within 10 min walk of the ship and no hassle from the shop keepers (unlike Kusadasi) We went on half day tour to Cleopatra's Island which was about £30 each.

thanks lou

well we did ask whether we would still be doing marmaris and antalya but they arent sure at the moment.. if not apparently we will be going to one of the greek islands which sounds quite nice if turkey is out

they have already changed from beirut to cyprus .. lets hope everywhere else stays safe as i could end up with an entirely different cruise to the one i booked lol

will watch out at that show.. and post a review myself when i get back ...not that i have anything to compare the emerald with but will say what i thought in any case
