In previous years we have some brilliant days and a few damp ones.
best time of the year though.
We are going to Sa coma 20 to 27 October (half term ). Praying for the weather we had last year
A little worried over the weather, but decided whatever it is like it will be better than staying here!!!
Spot on Laney
Hi Laney
We are staying at the club calas domingos. This is the 5th time at this resort for us, it is like going home we love it!!!!!
Although we normally go with first choice, the club calas domingos has been scrapped by them for next year. Ayone know who has taken over it???
I am going on holiday to Palma Nova on 19th ocober for 7 days, staying at Mimosa Park. Does anyone know how warm/cold it will be then? Is it hot enough to sunbathe/swim? Will we need warmer clothes than what we would take in July/August?
Can anyone help with this?
Thanks
we're travelling on the 30th October - so i just 'quality' for this thread. the way i see it is that fab weather is just an added bonus to a holiday at this time of year, and holidays are very much what you make of them... we are taking my mum for some R&R after her being poorly for sometime so like laney - whatever the weather its better than being her!!!
Looking at all of the messages has been really helpful. It's not that I'm particularly bothered about sunbathig but just wanted to go well prepared and with the right sort of gear! It sounds as though the weather can be quite temperemental in October. Also, I have a 6 year old who will want to constantly swim - no matter what the weather!
Does anyone have any ideas for good days out in the area? I understand that there is a marine life centre nearby. Not sure if everything will be open due to time of year - does anyone know?
Thanks
my nephew went to the marine park and said it was a great day out. He wants to take his 7 year old there sometime. Not sure if its open in october though sorry.
We're off to the Mimosa Park on the 3rd of October for 7 days. Marineland will be open then and is an excellent day out. Also the Pirate's show is a must, we've been in the past and will go again when we're there.
Going to Palm Nova (Honalulu hotel) in the fist two weeks of October and im starting to get worrid about the weather. Is it gonna stay rainy
We were in Alcudia a few years ago at the same time of year and the weather was changable. One day we had torential rain, but still managed to have a laugh walking around the town getting soaked, as it wasn't cold. The rest of the time was mostly sunny and we were able to swim in the pool.
I'll be interested to hear what you think about the Honolulu, as I've read some really bad reports from the summer months
Jane
The hotel it self is up a hill then on another slight incline then some steps but it is not as bad as it sounds. I found the hotel quite good
Food quite a wide range: salads meats pasta
Drink: san migual, spirits, cocktails, special cocktails (ones made out of slush)
hardly any ques at he bar
Staff: i didnt notice anything about the staff as i wasnt taking any notice i was there with my partner to have a good time not to think about staff (but a lot of other poeple have said about the staff being a bit grumpy )
Pool area: this seemed ok but i only went once as girlfriend is a beach person ( we got up t 9am and most of the beds were toweled up but every where is like that)
Rooms : they seemed alright just a normal room, tv was rubbish just cnn but who is there to watch tv
i think it was 60 euros for a safty deposit box but you get some back at the end of your stay
entertanment: we missed it all as we went to shows or were haveing a meal etc, There were a few of people going on about the bingo while we were there last time prizes of 200 euros thats if you like bingo
all in all its what you make of it and we had a good time and didnt here anyone complaine once while we were there ill give a report when i come back to tell if ther has been any changes

Like you I am also going in October (19th to 27th.) I am also worried about the weather, I know it can be changeable. I have been making a list of places to go to if the weather is'nt to good. So far, only really have marine park in mind.
I am staying at Mimosa Park. This is our first hotel stay for years and first time ever for all inclusive, in the past we have always used privately rented villas and apartments. I have scanned every review site I can find for reviews on the hotel, but to be honest I have realised that different people have very different perceptions. Some of the tips etc I have managed to get from the reviews have been really helpful.
Think it's best to go with an open mind ( I am going to! ) Will certainly be posting my own review when I get back!
I am determined to enjoy myself whatever the weather, and thanks for the info on the hotel, you've put my mind. Just a bit worried about the size of the rooms, as my 2 teenage daughters are sharing with us (they are 17 and 14).
We are off to the Mimosa Park Hotel for the first 2 weeks in October. Done the Pax Hotel the same dates last year and it was great. Weather was mixed. 6 great days, 6 overcast days and 2 rainy days.
Enjoy
Robert
