Tracy you'll find that there are trips up Mnt Teide organised by the Travel companies (see the reps) and also ones that are done through such as Admiral Travel who several members on here have recommended.

Hire a car and do the trip yourself. That way you can stop when you want to on the way up to admire the views/scenery, you can stop at the pine forest on the way and also you can spend as much time as you want at Teide and the surrounding area without being rushed back to the coach to spend 3 hours dropping people off. It is well sign posted and easy to find.
