plenty bars for oldies in the street/shopping area behind the main sea front promenade. there are a couple of rock bars (yates and highwayman if i remember correctly), a good irish bar and plenty of bars and clubs in the main street going to the beach from the casino.
they will all still be open then-they were last year.
if you are AI in the royal beach the robin hood opposite is quite good, there is a hungry horse opposite the royal star, and if you are in the casino royal there is usually a riotous party every night to keep you awake all night.

also look at the reviews according to your perception of the ages of the people doing the reports.
this was also the hotel that featured on the ITV show holidays undercover, showing the antics of the "guests" at this hotel.
i'm sure if you are going intending to have a laugh and a few late nights out and a late breakfast you will be fine.
