Hi
I am off to P.Pollensa next week and to be honest the forecast for the whole of Majorca looks okay at present.
One thing that concerns me however is that while it is showing approx 28degC for Palma, it is showing ~21degC for Pollensa/Alcudia. (on a night temp drops into single figures).
Is it normal to be much cooler in the North of the island ? If so I wish I had have known this, wife is panicking now and wondering what to pack.
Anyone got any advice please ???
Rob, I don't know which forecasts you're looking at but the likes of weather.com and yahoo show similar patterns for Alcudia and Palma for the next 10 days (insofar as they can ever be that accurate). Daytime around 27/81, nights 16/61. It's not impossible that these could dip especially as there are showers forecast. I'd certainly bring something warmish for the evenings.
Can't speak for the North of the Island, but although we have had a few unsettled days over the past 2 weeks or so, the evening temperatures have not fallen much at all. I still walk home in shirt sleeves every night in the early hours. (I must buy some trousers!)
I had been looking at accuweather.com and intellicast.com which came up with the different stories.
I guess the forecasts are not that accurate anyway, I'll have to just wait and see.
