during the course of my employment, I meet every week 2or 3 Turkish truck drivers who are delivering their goods to a well known retailer in the UK.
The goods they are delivering are the same goods on sale in the markets, albeit with a different logo embroidered on.
We don't bother buyying in Turkey any more only because you can get the same things at the same price in the UK, unless you have to have the logo on it.(I hate having logos on my clothes)

Sorry, I have to disagree with the opinion that you can get the same clothes here as cheaply. I can get 3 Quiksilver t shirts for my son for £10 in Turkey so that's £3.30 each. They may not be genuine but they are the same or better quality than the ones that I pay £19.00 for in TK Max. He still has the ones we bought him from 2005! I cannot even get him un-named t shirts for equal quality in Primark or Asda (George) or our local market for £3.00. In 2005 I also bought pink Puma toe post flats for £2 and everybody admires them and they're going strong too.
can't buy clothes in England for near their prices...I came home and got some real Billabong shorts and the cost £25 ... they should of been £32!!! I'm a designer clothes freak though I guess more fool me for paying the prices

having been engaged in intrnational haulage for over 30 years, I know what is in the back of the trucks coming from Turkey.
The polo shirts that you can buy at Tesco etc WITHOUT a logo are the same shirts as you can buy with a logo at 4or 5 times the price (with some obvious quality exceptions).
Mostly these are the same shirts that you can buy on the turkish markets with a logo added
The same is true of towels and other cotton goods that come from Turkey.
If you are prepared to shop around in the UK (certainly in Bradford) then you CAN get them for around the same price.
However if you are happy to buy in Turkey, then don't let me spoil your pleasure. We have done the markets etc each holiday and have now just lost the urge to go to them and waste our holidays shoppping, preferring to enjoy the sun , sea and sand etc.
