There is significant rumours arounfd the bazaars that there could be a move by Thomas Cook to take over First Choice. This is counter rumoured with First Choice being interested in acquiring Thomas Cook.
Thomas Cook are affectively German owned while First Choice is British.
A merger ofcourse cannot be ruled out and it will be interesting to see if any further information dribbles out over the next few days.

The age-old mutterings about a merger with Kuoni are also on the rounds again. Think Thos Cook is the more likely of the 2 - but I hope not!!
It made it in the trade press. saw it in TTG & Travel Weekly.
