Dabolim would probably be the best airport in the world.

Best to arrive!

Worst to leave!

It's all part of the experience of being there.
I would rather spend two hours there than two hours at work!

:( Hi, has anyone booked a flight lately via the Kingfisher site? I've been trying since the weekend to book a one-way flight for the 26th of December, there is still availability but it want let me pay for it.
I've checked to ensure that there is sufficient funds to cover and there is before anyone asks the obvious question, I've even phoned the relevant card companies and there isn't a problem at this end, i've sent numerous e.mails to Kingfisher and recieved the standard replie "it's been passed on to the appropriate department" but still no answer :hmmm .
so can anyone enlighten me, i'm getting desperate to book the internal flights as its getting closer :P

Now that the season is once more under way have there been any noticeable improvements for arrivals at Dabolim? By this I mean is it still a bit of a nightmare trying to get out of the airport with all the bureaucracy and form filling/checking/stamping etc. or will I once more be having a drink or two in the airport bar while I wait for the queues to shrink. Having said all that once you leave the airport, drop off your bags in your room and hit the first shack it makes it all worthwhile. Roll on 5th March!

I think the airport is part of the experience of being in Goa :)
I had a bad experience coming home from Goa this April, the zip broke on one of our suitcases, im quite surprised nothing fell out as the coach driver put the case on top of the coach lol

Got off the coach, some guy took our cases without us even asking him to, then had a fit when we only had indian money to give him.

So, we got into the building, put our cases on the xray machine then the security guy said no sorry madam you have to do something with your suitcase, its broke, you cant put it on.
It was about 4am, i was really tired, i felt like screaming. Anyway, we sorted the zip out then got through, checked in, and one of our cases was over the 20kg allowance, i think it was something like 25. but the guy on check in said it was ok because our 2 other suitcases were under the 20kg, so it made up for it

Travelling from Mumbai to Goa in Jan on Spice jet has anyone had any experience of traveling with this airline. How was it?

Beware the food counter in the departure lounge!

I had a chicken roll and started to feel ill about 7 hours into the flight, by the time I got home I was sick and spent most of the night in the bathroom.

Can't say for certain it was that, but it was the only thing I ate that day apart from the food on the plane.

hi airportbry, used spicejet last christmas, they were great. 50 minute flight to Dabolim. Remember to have your hold luggage x-rayed before checking in at Mumbai or you have to go to the back of the queue again.
have a good time!

Thanks Grump60 that has put my mind at rest. We have travelled direct to Goa in the past but we are having a change this year flying via Dubai/Mumbai with Emirates/Spicejet.

Apologies Gruff60 for the wrong name. Thanks again

Only back from goa on friday past and just want to let you all know they are having a field day at the airport charging everyone who is over 20ks ...we got hit for £56 ......
what gets me is we brought a lot of things out for the street kids and we were not overweight going plus we left all our shampoos and books and other things to so how did they work this one out :shrug :shrug :shrug

Irish coleen you have to dispute the charge with them or ask for a receipt at which they usually back down, giving a receipt means they can't pocket the money, as others have done on here we always carry spring weights with us so we know the weight of our cases,
