My flights with American Airlines aloow me and the wife 4 pieces of luggage between us and 112kg and that after using charter flights is unreal so unfortuantely I will be spending at least 1 full day shopping for clothes and stuff for Xmas but hve allowed quie a lot of money for that.
The carry on luggage as in hand luggage is 18kg per person.
I hope this plane actually gets off the ground coming home
John
Just ask for a room with 2 queen beds and that will accommodate three people comfortably (providing 2 are a couple )
Barbary Coast, Imperial Palace, Flamingo and Ballys are all centre strip and should have the most reasonable rates. I've always found the IP to be cheapest.
Regarding reading bad reviews of all hotels, I've noticed that too. I'm booked into Caesars Palace and the Venetian, two of the better hotels on the strip and even they have mixed reviews.
If I had read the reviews, or rather the comments on TA, of the IP before I booked it, I never would have stayed there. However, bear in mind that the American's tend to be very picky compared to the Brits and we found the hotel to be fine for us. It was comfortable and clean and the rooms are much bigger than you get over here. Some people seem to compare them to the Bellagio, but you're not paying Bellagio prices. If you read the reviews on here you'll find that no-one has a bad word to say about the IP. You don't go to Vegas to stay in your room and for all the time you spend in it, what more do you need?
Another suggestion is to sign up on the website of every hotel you fancy staying at. You should get offers emailed to you. I get regularly from the Ventian, IP and occasionally from the Coast Casinos. I haven't received from any of the other hotels I signed up with however, not even the Aladdin where we stayed in May. The IP often has deals of $59 for a deluxe room.
John, we are flying with bmi with an allowance of 2 cases per person each weighing 32kg too. However we are flying from Aberdeen to Manchester which has a much lower allowance so I hope we are allowed the higher limit with having a through ticket. We've bought so much stuff on previous visits that I don't think we'll buy that much this time so I don't expect our cases to be much over 25kgs each.

Exactly as you say we are only going to sleep in the room. I sign up already for all the hotels but I didn't get any emails with offers yet I am worried to leave the hotel booking on the last minute so it looks that we will book the Barbary Coast today.
Wow - I'd love to stay at the Ceasers Palace.... but maybe next time
Now there's a thought, perhaps you should try signing up for player's cards online where you can and see if that generates any response. Mind you, I tried that with MGM and still zilch from them.
The Barbary Coast is in a great location and I've read good things about it. Can I ask the rate you are getting it for this far out?

I have just been over to the IP site and I can get a week in the Deluxe room for $580, does that sound good to you Luci. I am hoping when it gets nearer the time that I will get it cheaper.
The price on their website for Deluxe Room comes to $850 - it is the same price for 2 or 3 people. On other websites they want $200.00 for the third person on top of the $850.
I don't really know how much I should expect to pay.
Oh I forgot. When I tried to get a price from Imperial Palace, it says that one or more dates are sold out so it is unable to do any bookings
If you book direct with the hotel and find something cheaper posted on the Fat Wallet site, you can call the hotel and ask them to adjust it to the lower rate.
Zabka, $850 sounds a bit steep to me. That works out at $94 Sun-Thurs and $189 Fri & Sat. Make sure you book directly with the hotel and not via a third party site such as Expedia, etc otherwise you won't be able to adjust the rate should you see it cheaper.
Call the IP direct and ask for their rates as the site often shows Sold Out when they do have rooms available, but remember that they are 8 hours behind us. I think reservations open at 7 or 8 am.
If you dial 0844 861 2121 then 001 702 731 3311 it will only cost you 1p per minute.
I may be back on later tonight if you have any more questions, but then I'm off to Vegas in the morning so I won't be able to reply for the next 10 days.
I hope you both manage to get booked up and keep checking those sites, but don't expect any offers for your dates until just a month or so beforehand.

Oh Luci didnt realise your trip to Vegas was so soon. Have a wonderful time.
Have a wonderful time luci. Win big, but leave some for me.
Yesterday we called Barbary coast and Imperial Palace.. and they cannot confirm two double beds!!!! They said that we might get a king bed... well for 3 adults (my husband, me and our friend) it's not a good option. Does anybody know what is my option? Which hotel can confirm 2 double beds?
Zabka, it may just be a language difference. They normally call them Queen beds in the USA. Also if you do end up with a King, they will give you a rollaway bed for the third person. So long as you specify three people on the reservation I don't think you will have a problem.
Actually, you can indeed get double, queen and king size beds here. A double is just two singles, often literally (it's not unusual for them to be pushed together in cheaper motels!).
on the hotels website they advertise 1 King bed or 2 Double beds in the room. But on the phone they told us that they cannot confirm that we would get the room with two double beds. I think that I will book the room with 2 beds and I will hope that we will get it
We have just come back from Vegas, we booked our hotel about 6 months ago and I checked the price of the rooms regulary until we left. The price never went down nearer the time, it went up quite a lot. I'd book a hotel now and then just keep your eyes open if anyother better deals come around.
As pebbles has said, even if you do get a king, they will give you a roll away bed for the third person.

This offer also includes $10 free slot play with $20 coin-in, 2 for 1 buffet and 2 tickets to a show at the V Theater.
I won't bother posting the weblink as it shows SOLD for most of the dates, but I called them on 001 877 333 9474 and was able to book 9 nights in May.
