Hi Dave

We'll just miss you which is a shame as in our party there'll be two 14yr old boys and one girl!! Although I've not been before we're going with friends who have and they say there's loads for teenagers to do so I'm sure he'll be fine.

Hello

Can someone please give me information on these apts - i.e. are they any good - is there anything around them - is there a beach near (i hear there is a pebble beach is it nice). Is there a sumpermarket near. How much can I expect to pay for a pint of local at these apartments. There is 3 of us hoping to travel 2adults & one clild aged 4. Should I book these or look else where.

If I remember rightly they are quite away from PP. The beach near them is more like a strip of rubble/sand. Great for windsurfing there though. If you want to be near PP for nights out I would suggest looking nearer. We stayed at Duva aparthotel last year. - very good about 15 minute walk from centre

We have booked these apartments for August mostly because out of all the reviews I read about them ( and there was a lot ) there was about 1 bad one.

They are apparently 15-20 mins walk from PP however a bus runs to PP and Alcudia from outside of them every 15 mins.

Not sure about price of drinks probably about 3 euro odd for a pint but we're thinking of going self catering plus whoch for a supplement you can have unlimited local drinks, crisps and icecream from 9am - 12 am.

They look fantastic to me ,very very clean so providing you don't mind the distance I would deffo book them, our kids (5 & 2) can't wait for the kids club etc

Hi

I'm going to these apartments in August too and have heard so many good things about them. Best of all my best friend and several members of her family stayed there in 2005 and loved it so much that they're going back in August too!! So look out for a large group of us (23 and counting)! She says there's load for all ages on site and PP is a short distance away. I don't think I've read any negative reviews to be honest.

Hello Gal

The SC Plus is certainly available with First Choice but not sure about other agents.

It involves paying a supplement (I think it was about £75 per adult for 2 weeks, but not sure), and you can then get all drinks included, and for children soft drinks, crisps and ice creams.

Hope this helps.

Help !!!!

Going in a couple of weeks.

Can anyone who has done self catering plus let me know what is included for children (brochure says soft drinks, ice-cream and crisps) is that it ?

For adults it only mentions locally produced alcohol and soft drinks, does it include coffee or any snack stuff at all ?

Any help appreciatd.

Thanks

Hello, this is my first post on this site. :D

I've been searching for where we can go on Holiday this year, and have been impressed by the reviews both on here and other websites of Club Del Sol Appartments, in Puerto Pollensa. We are a family of 2 Adults, and a little girl (3 but almost 4 by then).

I love the idea of the Self Catering Plus where you get your drinks included as we like to go out to get meals and explore a bit too, so would be great to have that for when we get back to the appartments or are lounging about all day. Our little girl would love it too cause it means unlimited Crisps and Drinks for her (although I would have to be a bit strict on the Crisps cause thats all she would eat if we let her).

I have already booked the time off, so were thinking about 15th September (Saturday) for 2 weeks.

The Dilema I have is when we went to Menorca last year, we booked a bit in advance and got a good deal but some of the other people there were telling us of the deals they got by booking the week before which would have saved us quite a bit of money. I have priced it up online through Eclipse Direct (First Choice but a little cheaper) and its reasonable (dont know if its against the rules to list prices on here so I wont) but thats for a Studio appartment, and it would be nice to get a One Bedroom but for around the same price or cheaper (always wanting a bargain). Anyway, is it worth taking the risk and booking the week before either online, or through First Choice or could it work out more expensive. My thinking is becuase its towards the end of the season demand may be lower so could be good for a deal.

Anyway, sorry about the long first post. Great site with fantastic reviews of all the places (have spent a lot of time reading the reviews of the past week or so).

Hi Dave and welcome to HT :D I can't really help I'm afraid. However, I do wonder if a lot of folks may end up booking late holidays this year if the weather continues as it does.
However, I'll leave it to the Majorca experts to answer :D

Thanks for the reply. I am wondering now if its a good idea to wait, or just book it, as it seems the ideal place for us to go this year.

I did see today that if we dont fly on Saturday 15th from Manchester, but go on Tuesday 18th from Liverpool we can save over £100. Ive already booked the two weeks off (last day 14th), but work is complex at the minute with me transferring to another company due to transfer of the contract I work on, which may be happening the weekend of the 15th. This means I would miss the first 2 weeks at the new company if I leave holidays as is, but if I change them I may have to go there for 1 day and then be off for just over two weeks for the holiday. Anyway, its complex

Oh, decisions, decisions
