Lovely, quiet beach. Small town (winter population about 600) with enough restaurants and bars to keep you interested for 2 weeks.

A proper village, with very friendly people, excellent wine and good food!! I'm due a return visit soon I think!

Plakias also sw Crete is smaller and quieter than Paleohora, both very pleasant. Quieter still is Stavros, one of our favourites, on the Akrotiri peninsular. The Vlamis apts. are lovely, Greek Options feature them.

Or Loutro - contender for the most chilled place in Crete! YOu do have to walk or get the boat to better beaches than the village one, but the swimming in the village is great.

You might get a bit bored if you don't like walking though....

I stayed at Vlamis a few years ago, and they are great. If I went back I would stay at Villa Penelope up the road as that was stunning and is the daughters business, its in the brochure.

Been with Greek options many times, never a bad holiday.
