Help am looking for a relaxing break in UK. have stayed in Perthshire at a hotel with large grounds with cottages scattered around, it is ideal, as it has the advantage of self cattering, quiet countryside yet... can use gym pool bar and restaurant of hotel.........plus the dog can come too!
Sadly they are building a new lot of cottages close to the one we use, so it has but us off for this spring...........Any ideas please, there must be somewhere else..............Jay
I would highly recommend the area around Kilconquhar Castle. There's a great coastal path which we walk part of regularly and the Anstruther Fish Bar which is just a few miles east was recently runner-up in the competition for the best fish and chip shop in Britain. We spend several breaks a year in that area as my in-laws have a holiday cabin there (their site doesn't let them out - they are all privately owned).

It's a lovely area - I grew up around there, and spent a lot of time at Barend when it was a working farm - and the dog gets to go too!
