Pippy, would it be possible to have a Restaurant sticky for Lanzarote similar to the Tenerife forum.
I am sure there are lots of members with Restaurants to share.
I'll stick this and we'll see how it goes
Sometimes people completely ignore the stickies and post new topics but they can be merged with this.

Slow Boat, International Food try La Taberna, both on main road in centre of PDC.
If visiting El Golfo try La Lapa, first on right when approaching the village. Excellent canerian potatoes and sardines with freshly made Mojo Sauce.
For Chinese Food try the If visiting El Golfo try La Lapa, first on right when approaching the village. Excellent canerian potatoes and sardines with freshly made Mojo Sauce.
Mamma Rossa Pizzeria is very cheap and cheerful. We all had pizza and beer - and were very impressed!
China City - probably my favourite Chinese restaurant. More than we could eat - at very affordable prices. Again, the service was excellent. They do takeaway too... which we've had a couple of times.
Bodegas tapas bar - Yum yum yum is all I can say about this place. It was a little pricey - but worth every mouthwatering penny! Do try the lapas, and the hot chorizo too! Again... it was all top notch!
OSCARS,austrian owners, mix of cuisines but mozzarella and sundried tomamto followed by steaks and lobster are superb,El NAVARRO spanish and LUCIA for tapas! wish i was there now!
also LAS MARETAS for spanish style fantastic food, particularly good fish but you have to book megga in advance.
Also where are your recommendations located exactly? like the sound of the tapas bar, also.....(sorry) are there any more restaurants in the "parade" at Faro park? there was a chinese and pub there , small shop and patisserie on our last visit. Thanks.
When are you going ? are you staying on Faro Park
Like the sound of the italian and good to have somewhere for a breakfast, and will go to the spanish bar, i'm really chuffed about that.
will def. go the El Argentino, and will have a night out at the marina.
thanks again for help.
La Cascada Puerto/Bodega
On the road from the Biosfer down to the harbour on the left-hand side.
As it was so busy we got sat in a small anti-room, so missed the atmosphere of the large area, and the back-bar.
Restaurante Magonolia
On the road from the Biosfer down to the harbour on the right-hand side.
We sat in this restaurant for over two hours, and no table was free for more than two minutes. Amazingly as one party left another sat down.
You will need to book in advance here.
tlf: 639 547 941 - 659 312 994
Both restaurants were very very busy, and to be honest, we would have probably enjoyed them more if they had been a little bit emptier.

2nd year running best eats was at Los Italianos (between Los Pocillos and ODC) good honest Italian food.
Puerto Baihia on the harbour in the old town PDC. The best fish restaurant by far....beautiful Lobster, fantastic attentive service.
Worst without doubt for food, service and price was La Ola below the Casino in new PDC......a disgrace But then I should have know better once discovering it's part of the ever expanding and very poor Lani's group
Best meal 2 weeks ago definitely the Worst without doubt for food, service and price was La Ola below the Casino in new PDC......a disgrace But then I should have know better once discovering it's part of the ever expanding and very poor Lani's group
Andin 15 years of living here, I have only had 2 bad meals in Lani's. I may not agree with the Lani Group, but their food is normally excellent.
Perhaps they were having an off night I still wouldn't go back and give them a second chance though because the whole attitude was diabolical that night.
We were charged for the bread........never got it due to poor service
We waited 25 minutes to place our order............including drinks
We ordered Garlic bread as a starter and got one small piece & were charged almost 4EU for the privledge !
When our steak arrived with sauce in a small thin plastic pot it shattered and sprayed us and the adjoining table with red BBQ sauce............no apology, no assistance and it took 10 minutes to get another napkin as the other was used to mop up, including the tablecloth which we sat with throughout....dodging the splatters
Food was lukewarm and we weren't asked once if everything was okay
On paying the bill I should have received a 10EU note plus small change........I got the entire amount in shrapnel That old Lani's chesnut for tipping purposes. Needless to say we didn't oblige
Finally they were so busy dealing with all the complaints of others that we slipped out and nobody took a blind bit of notice or bothered to say "thanks & goodbye"
On that evidence I feel justified in saying it was the worst meal I've had in PDC having visited twice a year every year for the last 12 years.
As for the Lani's group, I notice the consensus is split on this forum and others about 50/50.......a bit like Marmite you either love em or hate em
We went to La Ola for our 'special' holiday meal last year.
I must have been lucky when I have eaten there. It is a shame that people are getting bad food and service in such a lovely setting. I for one, would not return to anywhere, if I wasn't happy the first time. There are so many lovely restaurants to try!!
Give the Bocaina a try. it's next to the Petrol Station as you come into Playa Blanca. The food and service are excellent there.
They've just had a load of new furniture delivered this week too... so a few of us are going up later this week to try it out. They've opened up a lounge area. Can't wait!

I see the Slow Boat Chinese mention but which one? We went to one a few years ago in PDC because we saw it recomended it was crap. There are a alrge number of Slow Boats.
We had an excellent, good value meal at the Hong Kong across from the Casino this week. They do a set menu with wide choice for around 6 Euros, and it was great. Service pleasant, too.
In the Harbour, I can recommend Mar Casa Benito for both lunch and dinner. Good food, average prices, good service and nice atmosphere.
We also enjoyed a meal at El Horizonte in the old town. The new owners had taken over 4 days previously - it used to be run by a guy who seemed to be considering suicide! The interior has had an upgrade - no more '70's tablecloths and the set menu is now 9.50 Euros - more than previously, but now includes 3 courses. We were also given free garlic bread and salad starters and free liquors after the meal. Other half had good Sirloin steak as part of set menu.
The worst value meal we had was the Italian (?) below Cesars. The bill was excessive compared to very similar meal at Tropicana (towards Fariones), which I can also recommend. Tropicana had nice pizza for me, other half enjoyed Fillet Mignon, and again we were given free large 'Baileys' after meal. Sevice good here, too.
