Hi!
Been offline for a while, but I'm back
My bf and I are planning to holiday in California this summer (July/ August) for 3 weeks. So far we've decided to do the following:
San Francisco - LA - San Deigo - Las Vegas.
I've read some other threads on what we should be looking to do (I'll need more advice later on this!), but at the moment I'm trying to work out costs for travelling, so we can save enough in the coming months.
I've done some general searches - expedia, british airways, virgin, etc. and they're all quoting around £650 for flights (out: London-SF, return: Las Vegas - London). Last year I had a few quotes for £550. Who should I book with and should I wait til nearer the time? What did you pay?
An ex-colleague once mentioned she planned to book with a travel agent in the west end and they quoted her approx £700 for fly-drive. Does anyone know the name? (It's not STA travel)
Also, since we'll be driving, is it better to get a fly-drive deal, or separates?
Thanks in anticipation,
Jaida x
SF>LA>LV.
We are a party of four, all flights, accommodation, breakfast for 2 weeks in LA (Anaheim), self catering the rest. All tranfers and food options on the united airlines, and free interconnecting flights, the total cost with Funway USA was £4800. Virgin was quoting nearly £7000 for the same trip.
Anything else i can help with fire away

They are an independent specialist and dont have reps, although they do have guides at the airports to help.

They do all the USA and caribbean and all sorts.
Early flights as well, you have the choice of which flights you want, so in a way its a do it yourself holiday.
I cannot fault Virgin having travelled to the states with them and BA, but United are just as good.
