yes Lady scorpio I know what you mean about apartment under occupancy costs making it the same as hotel costs.

Well the Fiesta Bahamas or indeed any of the Fiesta hotels in Playa Den Bossa would be a good choice.

You can choose to stay half board or upgrade to either all inclusive or drinks only all inclusive.

The Bahamas is right at the end of the resort so a little out of the way if you want to be close to any action but its right on the beach, we walked into the resort centre every day so its not that far and there are always taxis which reception will gladly arrange for you. :)

algarb fiesta hotel in playa den bossa would suit you better, right on the beach front near shops and bars across road for which you cannot hear any way.easy bus route to ibiza town which is just down the road from there you can go anywhere on the island.
use another ibiza site to get a maps ok.any more info you need contact me ,i dont mind...ibiza since 83 so i do know a bit.not bragging or anything its just i have been loads of times all over the place.and have driven around the island manytimes.plus i take in info as i go to pass on.to ibiza virgins or if you have never been to another resort.
i mainly now stay in pdb.with it begin not far from airport and town it is a good base for me.fig just down the road plus forman is just a small boat ride away.

i now go diy.and i do not get charged for under occupancy.which you will find if you book in a appts unless you get a good deal of text or other..

I agree the Algarb is probably better if you want to be in the resort centre.

I've also been to Ibiza a few times now and am getting good at researching places lol

Where you stay really depends on your priorities.

Hope you find what you're looking for Lady Scorpio, please ask if I can be of any help I will

just one thing if you do book to stay in pdb with a company dont pay for transfers is cheaper and better getting a taxi.about 10 euro.s or sometimes a bit less.but i give them 10 if its a bit less.depends what time you land.ie late nightis a bit more

Thank you everyone for your very useful info. I always do loads of research before booking something (probably too much and end up confusing myself). I feel confident booking something independently, rather than through a company, so perhaps I will check out the prices of both and see which comes out the cheapest. Jet2 do cheap flights from Leeds to Palma so hopefully we can save some money.

One thing I did forget to ask in my previous post is that PDB is close to the airport/under the flight path - is this very noisy as I like to go on holiday and relax, not have aeroplanes flying a couple of feet above my head.

We're off to the Fiesta Palladium Palace in Playa D'En Bossa for 2 weeks in July and we're all looking forward to that.

We stayed at the Ereso in Es Cana last year nad had a fantastic time there. Don't be put off by the hotel's 2 star rating, it's MUCH better than that. In fact, it's better than some 4 star hotels I've stayed in!

Before that, we spent the previous 3 years at the Fiesta Palm Beach in Playa D'En Bossa and really enjoyed the place, that's why we decided to try the Palladium Palace this year as it's still a Fiesta hotel and is more or less next door.

I also spent a week in San Antonio with the lads in my youth and that was a scream but the resot of Ibiza is far more family orientated, we love the place!
