We have never been to Lanzarote before but we have booked a private villa in oasis de nazaret for october, we are going to hire a car.
Basically we dont plan on doing much just chilling out and bbq's but as we have never been before wondering if there was anything people recommend we must do?
We are 2 ads and 2 kids who will be 2 and 7 yrs.
We are flying on to gran canaria (where we have been loads before) for a busier week after the chill out in Lanzarote but if there is something really good we should be doing it would love to know.
Also what is the resort like?
I am actually assuming it isnt much of a resort and just a quiet place which is fine for the type of week we want, as long as we can get to a decent supermarket to stock up on some nice meat and fish for the bbq oh and not forgetting the wine!!!

Oasis de Nazaret is a small village on the way to Teguise. It is not a resort at all. There is a small supermarket at the entrance to the village, and just before that on the left hand side is the sociedad, which serves very cheap meals and drink! Also in Nazaret is LagoMar which is a very pretty place to go, both for a meal and/or coffee. The nearest "town" is Teguise which again has some lovely restaurants and buildings, but no large supermarkets. You will definitely need a car, even if you don't plan to tour the island.

Thanks for that so were will we find the nearest big ish supermarket to stock up on the weekly essentials...............such as wine, meats, fish, salads, more wine and beer!!!!
There are loads of supermarkets in Costa Teguise, but for a "big shop" I would suggest Eurospar on the outskirts of Arrecife. I am not too good with directions 
but from Nazaret follow the signs back down to Arrecife, go under the ring road bridge, and up to the first roundabout, you will see Eurospar over on the left hand side! Depending on your arrival time the village shop will easily stock you up with what you need to begin with, and if you are on a late flight I would suggest you ask your TO to put a welcome pack in for you!

I know I'm really early in posting this but would be really greatful to get your expertise! I'm coming to a great villa in Oasis de Nazaret next January for two weeks with my mum coming out for the second week. I'm with my beloved and so want to do romantic stuff in the first week then family stuff in the second week. Also any guide re getting good fresh meat and seafood for a BBQ? We have a car so can travel, I was in Playa Blanca last year and found it really difficult to get any fresh seafood, it was all frozen. Where's the nearest big supermarket? We plan to stay home quite a bit so will frequent the local social club and also try LAGOMAR but wonder if there's enything else we should do? Can't wait! Guy x
