we had 1814.

obviously this is high up but we had a great view of the mountains.
door rattled a lot on the last 2 nights as it was windy.

i also have 2 say we could not have been luckier with the weather. apparently it was not too good b4 we got there, but from our arrival until our departure (literally, because it started to rain whilst we were on the runway) we had clear blue skies all day every single day.

review to follow in the next couple of days. it will be a long one. (99% positive)
worst part of the entire holiday was having to sit on the plane for 30 mins after we landed back in liverpool because they had no steps available!!!! despite the fact we could see about 100 sets from the windows! anyway i am off topic.

HOTEL IS FAB.

night all.

i wana go back. anyone lend me some money???

just a quickie regarding the food at the FO.

You have to extremely fussy, picky or miserable not to find something to eat here.

whether you are a meat-eater, a vege, a vegan, a donkey or a lever arch file, you can find something.

there are various choices each day and night and as well as these, they have the basics such as sausages, chips, salad, beans, pasta, all types of veg, cold meats, cheeses, potatoes, loads of meat. i could go on but i think you get the gist.

as for the moaning about the lifts i have heard b4 i went, you have to unlucky to wait more than 5 minutes for one.

i will cover it all in my review.... along with a tip on how to make the lifts run more smoothly.

Dont know about you but the majorety was complaining about them when I was there last month. but they were fine if you knew how to work them properly.

Glad you had a good time just as much as we did. :tup

danny,

its such a shame other people did not know how to use them properly. i take it you figured out, as we did, that whether or not there is 1 lift at floor 0, or 6 lifts at floor 0, only 1 will open (unless there are people to get out of the others) so DO NOT keep pressing the call button whilst one of the lifts is trying to set off on its journey because instead of opening one of the other lifts, all this does is prevents the lift that opened from leaving and makes the waiting time longer. so many people did not know this and when the people who did know, tried to tell them, they thought they were having a go at them and ignored them and pressed the button again.

it sounds a lot more complex than it is.

yes thats right ian.

it was humorous though when the lift doors would try and close to go up for the 6th time

people didnt realise that the call button called all the lifts..

it was quite amusing i agree. especially when you wait with someone who is continually pressing the button and effing and blinding because it says it is on 0 but the red arrow wont come on. whilst at the other end, there is a lift full of people whose door is opening and closing. i stood and watched whilst the missus was on the computer and it was entertainment in itself.

almost overdid the baggage allowance coming back. not with booze and fags like most people but with certificates and "i'm excellent" t-shirts.
i'm a competitive bugger.

I agree and what about the people who pressed the up and down button when they just wanted to go up. Confused the lifts even more. One time when we were waiting on main floor it went right down to the restaurant and then came back up pass us without even stopping. In the end people were just jumping in the lift and going up and down till they got to their floor. It was so funny. Glad I didn't go with a tour operator and arrive and depart with the crowds waiting for lifts. Karen

Just another thought with tuppence boasting about his winnings. We should have a convention at the FO and all enter the competitions etc to see who wins the most. Think it would be a good laugh. So when all we all going back? Karen

We had difficulty getting in the lifts with the wheelchair. Every time a lift came everyone seemed to push in front of you. After waiting for a long time we just stood right near the door of one particular lift so that when the door opened we could go straight in after the people inside had come out.

As you say people kept pressing the buttons and the lifts went nowhere. Some children had a habit of pressing the buttons to all the floors whilst they were in the lifts which was most annoying.

aww bless you Jean. I met northantsj at the hotel when we was there for Easter and she always managed to squeeze me in with her and her husbands wheel chair.
