Six weeks today and I should be well on my way. :D :D 8)

Just thought I would mention that.

Bertie are you back yet? How were the Marina Park apartments and Lagos? Did you have a good time?

I've checked the reviews to see if you have snuck one on there but so far nothing. :(

Sagres, You blushing? -- Never. Pat should be well into the vinho tinto now. I was glad to get home to have a rest from it in fact i was blushing like you, my toes have never had so much colour, and the site of :pele was driving me mad. :D . Cheers Jayjan

Hi Everyone,
I'm back from a great 2 weeks in Cabanas. The weather started off a little shaky but really only got rain the first Saturday morning, then it got hotter and hotter. Last week was roasting :sun
We got back on Thursday night and it's great to have the sun shining today at home.
Just read back on the previous posts and I have to say........ Sagres was with us every day, several times a day, in fact
As for the tinto........well, let's just say it still tastes as good as always!!!!!

Roll on September for the next outing :rofl

Hi Pat and welcome back.
Sorry I'm a bit late with the welcome, but roseweb gave us a link to a language learning programme and I've been spending hours on it !!
It doesn't seem anything like two weeks since you went. Our friends got back last week and say that they're on the 2006 Monte Velho now; I think we've told too many people about it !!

Sagres, what's the link to the language learning......I take it it's Portuguese?

No,Pat, the Portuguese language course is in Mandarin Chinese !!! :rofl
... sorry for the sarcasm, but I just couldn't resist - ( I really did try very hard to resist-honest !! ) :D You'll find the link in this thread :

Allow plenty of time- as roseweb says, it's really addictive. Many of the words you'll know, but entering them exactly as the program requires, complete with cedillas and accents, takes some time

Can I just add my thanks for the info about the language course I am really enjoying it, as you say sagres it is grtting it just right that is the hard part

Come on,jayjan,-I'm sure you can already manage 'mais uma garafe de vinho tinto, faz favor' !!! :glynis :rofl

Very good, Sagres, but I think you should revise List 4. :wink :rofl

Algarve addict - I don't bother with full stops and question marks. Just type in the words, including accents etc, the first time and once you're sure they're right click on Use as Alternative Answer. Hey presto, you can just do that from then on.

Jayjan - do you think the techie forum on here could help you? We want you to join us. And as you're usually up till the early hours you won't be worried about the lack of sleep the rest of us are suffering!

Have you started it yet, Pat? How're you getting on? BTW welcome back - I just can't believe you were away for two weeks. We're off on Sunday. :hyper

Roseweb I'm just debating whether to invest in the deluxe programme its only £30, maybe thats the answer to my problem.

Sagres thinks i need more than uma garafe, dos garafe, tres sound better

Cheers Jayjan

I would just be a bit worried that you'd pay for it and then find it wouldn't load, like the free software.

Roseweb, I never thought about that , wonder whether they would give me a refund if the software wont load? Jayjan

Might be risky. If you could find out the reason why it won't load that would be the best way forward. Maybe if you try posting in the Computer Problems forum someone might be able to help you. I've done that before - the only problem is you can't always understand the answers! :hmmm

Just tried downloading it again and when i click Run it starts downloading but then gives up after about 30 seconds, same thing happens when i click save. It then goes on to install and halfway through install its says it cant find the programme, so it looks like it isnt fully downloading the original application. Jayjan
