Keith Floyds Indian cook book is really good to and the recipies are quite authentic. Anybody got the recipie for red indian pork, keep meaning to ask them for it at All Spice and always forget.

Haven't got a recipe to add but I do have a little connected story.

Some years back I asked a Goan chef friend for a particular recipe which prior to our return home he duly provided, I popped the piece of paper in my bag and didn't look at it until we were back in the UK. Everything was neatly written and easy to understand until I got to the cooking times where it said........cook for 2 whistles, then do whatever and cook for 3 whistles etc.......so it went on. I thought, what the heck does all this 2 whistles and 3 whistles malarky mean,........didn't have a clue until I phoned my friend. Did I feel a right twit........YEP! They use pressure cookers (I guess he thought we all did in the UK too). Well, how was I to know, never used one before ....guess what, I have now!
