hi again just had email returned maybe its changed
Hi Wendy
me & my girlfriend are going to goa on 9th feb & staying at the prezeres, ive read alot of bad reviews about this hotel, its not that bad ,is it? also whats the economy class like on the new first choice jets?
Much better than Monarch (lets face it, they couldn't be worse).
we don't go untill after you come back so I will be interested to read your folow up

Perhaps Monarch might buck up their ideas if they realise passengers have a better experience flying with First Choice than with them. Perhaps I am just dreaming and they really do not give a fig!
when they realise that they are losing customers by having poor flight experiences they WILL look at improving the situation.
either that or go down the no-frills route which means dropping their prices substantially.

THought Monarch were no-frills already....
I was being generous to them
we got a great deal to goa with monarch £399 each in march 2006 for 2 weeks and have flown monarch once before and after that holiday vowed never to use them again but at that price we could not refuse. we flew first choice cattle class in december and it was quite comfortable we managed to book seats near the back where they are only 2 seaters it was an airbus 330 i think where the bogs are downstair. first choice id say are thecomfiest for cattle class. enjoy
MUNCH - First Choice economy class is fantastic!
Can I remind everyone that we have a flights forum for these questions. I won't lock this one as the main query was about the hotel.
The hotel is a good standard 2 star. Rooms are basic and clean. The pool is kept spotless and the staff a wonderful. I have stayed there twice and only changed to a new hotel because the Prazeres was getting too expensive - I guess because it is now very popular.
We did pop in this year (December) to see friends who have a long-stay apartment and asked about the current "noise" level. According to them it was a one-off period.
I would suggest you try and avoid the rooms above the bar but this is always the case in any hotel.
Do not worry and enjoy.

Just to say we have stayed at the Prazeres three time and think its wonderful. Staff are brilliant and although some rooms are better than others, reception staff are always happy to move you if they can.
Can get a bit noisy late on, not many hotels in Goa have late bars so it tends to be popular. Typical goan bands play a few times a week and these tend to be the late nites. I'm sure you will love it. We are due to go back on 16th Feb and are dead disappointed cos Prazeres was unavailable when we booked so we have to stay elsewhere. Hope you have a great time!!
WE have also stayed at the apartments you mention but we have found them to be perfect! Have you taken your problems up with the owners at all?
I would imagine that they would be mortified if they knew!

Nothing really within spitting distance of prazeres however the taxis are cheap but becareful walking at night as the road to prazeres isnt well lit and has a massive drainage ditch running down the sides of the road. Mother in law fell in it much to my amusement
There is however plenty of taxis outside the resort and the guys in reception will be able to sort you out if none around.
Johnny's Bar is directly opposite The Prazeres, Nice food, cheap too.
Anyway we had a room overlooking the road at the Magnum this year and it was great - watched the world go by and it went silient at around 11.30-12.00pm at night. Is the Prazeres really that noisy?? Also the reviews are mixed - what do you guys suggest????
I usually stay at the Prazeres but this is because Johnny from Johnny's Bar is a good friend of mine and we usually start our evenings off having a few drinks there. Also, I know most of the staff at Prazeres and they know me so on the rare occasion there is aproblem I can get it sorted quite quickly - I'm sure anyone else staying there could as well though.
I have not had any noise problems at all at the Prazeres but clearly others have, I think it might be a new issue this year and I guess i'll find out in 3 weeks when I get there.
Out of all that you mentioned I think i'd probably opt for Valentines Retreat as I have never been into Summerville - it looks quite nice though.
