Stayed there a few times, its excellent value for money, staff are great.

Its about 800 metres from the beach (15 minute walk or 5 minutes by taxi)

Yes has a fridge and ceiling fan in each room. You can pay extra for air con if required.

Has a decent pool and the bar is ok, food not so good but you will be eating outside of it anyway.

Thats a pic from the bar, showing the pool complex and rooms. Would recommend that you dont get a room above the bar as it can get noisey esp when they have live music etc.

Also when you are there, dont hide your dirty towels and clothes away. As you will come back from the beach and find some funny stuff done with them.

:D I,ve just looked up this hotel on eclipse direct, the prices were good i thought.Went as low as 855 pds. 24/3/05 from gatwick. b/b two weeks. I have stayed there before and its a good hotel. :)

£855 thats expensive very expensive

When i have stayed here on my last two visits (Apr 2003 during easter and and Nov 2003) it has been around £500-£550 for 2 weeks. Thats booked via lunn polly (not last minute deal).

The only reason we are not staying there this year was because lunn polly wanted two hundred pound more because it was easter £700 each for 2 week BB.

But may have caught a cold based on another poster with regards to the hotel we are staying in so may end up at prazeres after all.

There's a map of Candolim at http://www.johnthemap.co.uk/pages/goa/candolim.html and the Prazeres is in the bottom right, second road up.

we stayed in the prazeres for my 40th and had a great time. They had a band playing the night of my birthday (valentines night) and a crowd of us went and had a brilliant time. We had drinks and stuff in the room first and someone had bought me a card full of little red hearts like confetti.....it was everywhere! The next morning the staff were brilliant (we were a bit washed out) all they said was "good party!" They were great, they tidied up all the confetti, cake and washed all the glasses and the room was spotless..................a god send.

We found the Prazeres to be spotless clean, friendly and helpful and Im only jealous you are going instead of me!

The Prazeres is an excellent Hotel.

I bought an apartment there and have just arrived back after a months holiday (see Private Rentals above - sorry for plugging my apartment). The direction is about 300 metres from the Casa Sea Shell restaurant on the Panjim Road. A good choice of many restaurants in close proximity and the beautiful Candolim beach. For its star rating its probably one of the best hotels in North Goa...Period!

Might seam like an odd question but can you tell me approximately how long the sun is on the pool area? I like both beach and pool. I have been dithering for weeks about booking and keep looking at different hotels thanks
