Well as many of you have said it only takes one person to spoil it for the rest and it wouldn't matter where you were in the world you'll always find one.
If this guys is about 50 years old, 5ft 9, Balding with a shaved head, Comes from the London area and wears alot of gold then I met him in November. I think he might have been a cabbie but to be honest I couldn't really be bothered listening to what he was saying.
He always hires a bike (the Yamaha chopper looking ones) and jeep that he dumps right outside the entrance half blocking the road.
I have to say he didn't really disturb us as we were right at the back of the hotel by the river. He was certainly in the bar until all hours and was as brash as they come.
we can be failry noisey ourselves but very rarely to the poiint where we would cause offence and certainly not afer we had been asked to be a bit quieter.
I'm back there in March and travelling with some people that simply won't put up with that kind of behaviour so I hope he isn't around or he's likely to end up having a dip in the stinky river.
I'll keep you all posted!!
has anyone stayed at the prazeres resort? if so could you please give me some info? ie. where abouts in candolim is it? is there a fridge in the room? thanx phil
Its about 800 metres from the beach (15 minute walk or 5 minutes by taxi)
Yes has a fridge and ceiling fan in each room. You can pay extra for air con if required.
Has a decent pool and the bar is ok, food not so good but you will be eating outside of it anyway.

Thats a pic from the bar, showing the pool complex and rooms. Would recommend that you dont get a room above the bar as it can get noisey esp when they have live music etc.
nice picture, thanx mr stella.
Also when you are there, dont hide your dirty towels and clothes away. As you will come back from the beach and find some funny stuff done with them.
What sort of stuff We're going there mid April so you intrigue me!
trust me nothing bad.
I,ve just looked up this hotel on eclipse direct, the prices were good i thought.Went as low as 855 pds. 24/3/05 from gatwick. b/b two weeks. I have stayed there before and its a good hotel.
When i have stayed here on my last two visits (Apr 2003 during easter and and Nov 2003) it has been around £500-£550 for 2 weeks. Thats booked via lunn polly (not last minute deal).
The only reason we are not staying there this year was because lunn polly wanted two hundred pound more because it was easter £700 each for 2 week BB.
But may have caught a cold based on another poster with regards to the hotel we are staying in so may end up at prazeres after all.
where abouts is the prezeres? i know its candolim but can anyone tell me where? we are hoping it is on the calengute side... if it isnt has anyone got any good suggestions please
WOW thats a very good price, i.m obviously not looking in the right places. Thanx for that.
http://www.johnthemap.co.uk/pages/goa/candolim.html and the Prazeres is in the bottom right, second road up.
There's a map of Candolim at We found the Prazeres to be spotless clean, friendly and helpful and Im only jealous you are going instead of me!
sleep_r_us give lunn polly a ring thats who we have used in the past, friend arrived the day before we left booked with lunn polly in november to stay at prazeres paid £489 each.
I bought an apartment there and have just arrived back after a months holiday (see Private Rentals above - sorry for plugging my apartment). The direction is about 300 metres from the Casa Sea Shell restaurant on the Panjim Road. A good choice of many restaurants in close proximity and the beautiful Candolim beach. For its star rating its probably one of the best hotels in North Goa...Period!
SteveM
MrStella. Sorry but the prices for the prazeres is for two people[868pds] 434 each. I,ve just looked it up again and the price is 846pds on the 10th march 2006 for two b/b.
