The price of property here is not totally dependent on location, but also determined by condition, furniture, fixtures and fittings.
For instance, there are two properties for sale on my road (first line to the beach), only a few houses apart, identical from the outside (except for new shutters), and one is over 100,000 Euro more expensive than the other.
The cheaper is original and un-modernized; the other has two new bathrooms, a new kitchen, an under-build, good quality furniture and tiling, as well as many extras such as alarm and satellite T.V. system.
Any property correctly priced for its condition and location will sell.
A two bedroom detached property would probably have less living space than a two bedroom apartment, which would also affect the price.
As far as nice areas go .It all depends what you consider as being 'nice' .everyone has a different ideal.
Give me a clue on exactly what you are looking for and I may be able to help a little better.
I've been in touch with friend and he says it is in the area called La Siesta and it is a three befroomed property not two. It is fully furnished and has just had worked carried out on the bathroom, new bath etc. He says he has viewed it on the internet and likes what he sees but really wants to know if this is the going rate for properties over there.
the property can be viewed here
The property shown is for sale via an Agent who would probably have a commission (perhaps 12 per cent?) included in the asking price.
There are hundreds of properties similar to this for sale in La Siesta and in the surrounding urbanizations at all different prices.
I wouldn't buy it!
http://www.spanish-property.co.uk they are based in Torrevieja fully legal. I bought through them a couple of years ago and are excellent.
