I doubt if Alex is any cheaper than Cairo... the prices vary so much depending on which area of those cities one is. Sure a villa is Zamalek could set you back US$ 10 - 15 million.... but there are plenty of other areas though usually only for apartments.

Best thing to do would be to go for one of the satelite towns around Cairo... such as Rehab, 6th October, Kataneya etc - some are very quiet and a bit isolated but they tend to be cleaner and more spacious. I would guess that a villa in those areas would start at around LE 1.5 million but unfinished - all the interior decor and furnishings and that would cost almost another 1 million.

do a search on the net for real estate in Cairo.... but please get an english speaking lawyer... and don't buy anything online!!!!

You need to be out there....... Coldwell banker franchises have peoprrties up, and these are reputable franchises... as much as they can be... with english spaeking sales staff..
