I'm from Dundee but we may be on the same flight going to the resort.

We met people from Edinburgh last year but as far as I know they aren't going this year.

There's a mixture from 30s and 40s through to teenagers and some younger children, as far as I know. You might see them there then.

I've only posted on here a few times so hi.

I first went to Turkey in 2007, whilst on an Ocean Village cruise. Although I hated going round the ruins (we'd booked a trip), we all thought the country was lovely and, after 2 weeks back at home, we had booked.
So, in August last year we flew out to Side, and stayed in the Arum. We had one of the best holidays ever, and loved every minute of it.
When we landed back in the early hours of a Monday morning, we were already thinking about going again. On the Tuesday we picked up the brochures, and by 9am on the Wednesday morning it was booked! We go back to the Arum on 16th July, although terrible flight times mean we won't get there until around 2am the next day.

Absolutely can't wait, we are all counting down the days. It will be 10 weeks to go this Thursday! Just got to get through my exams, and then I start thinking about it a bit more.

Anyone else going to Turkey (in particular Side) this year, and absolutely can't wait to get on the plane?

Oh yeah, forgot about this. Has anyone been to Linda's Bar, opposite the Hemera. We went there nearly every night last year, and they were brilliant. Has anyone else been there?

Yes me! Can't wait for some sun. We are going to Side for the first time,5th July from East Midlands,actually very good flight times unless they get changed. Will try out Linda's bar, we are AI at the Hemera but if it's just across the road I am sure you will find my daughter and her friend in there! They like to get out and about and speak to the locals. When we have holidayed in Olu deniz, I have known her come back with more money than she went out with because she had helped out in shops and behind bars! Her name is also Chloe Have a great holiday

We have been to Turkey twice now once to Gumbet/Bodrum and once to Marmaris and we are going back this September to Gumbet and the Asarlik Beach Hotel. First year last year that we missed a break in the sun so really looking forward to it. Used to be an active member of this forum and would like to pick it up again.

Off to Oluz Deniz Beach Resort on Sun 24 May with my 18yr old daughter - fly from Manchester at .735am and staying for one week. Its a holiday I won on our local radio station KEY 103 and we are really looking forward to it - anyone else on same flights or same hotel give us a shout!

And if anyone has any info that might be of interest re this hotel would be great to hear from you

my daughter is certainly counting down the days till we go - only 19 more now lol off to Oluz Deniz Beach Resort 24 May for a week an with the weather her pickling it down I am also counting down the days - bring on the sun is all I can say lol

Myself, my boyfriend(we're 26/29) His parents, 2 kids, one teenager & one 11 yr old..
2 sets of Aunts & uncles & 3 kiddies....
We are from Cork, Wexford & donegal!
We've never been to Turkey before, but it looks beautiful.

If anyone has any info about Club Evin, it would be great,
I have found their website, it looks nice, to be honest as long as it's clean & there's a bed I don't mind!!

Hi Sue. One of the things I would avoid would be paying to see the Manavgat waterfalls. To be honest, they aren't anything special, and we were extremly disappointed. It certainly wouldn't be worth the money to get in, although we did go on a trip (with other things included, so it wasn't too bad).

There are lots of boat trips that go our from Side Harbour, but do look around at prices, and haggle. They can look quite expensive at first, but customers rarely pay what it advertised! A bit of haggling and you can get quite a cheap day out!

Also, I'd avoid the Golden Fizz bar, if you're anywhere near it. We found them quite aggressive and offensive, and have heard (from many people, both in Turkey, and back home) about drinks that have been spiked, and people being hospitalised.

Fly from Glasgow on 12th July to Antalya - staying at Royal Wings, Lara beach for 2 weeks and can't wait!!!

We went to Olu Deniz last year and that was our first experience of Turkey and we booked up for this year as soon as we got home! we decided on Lara as the transfer is only 15 mins and the built in aqua park for the wee one! We only have one holiday a year and just like to relax at the pool day after day with a nice efes - stroll on July
