hi everyone, we're off to Altinkum in 8 weeks and 5 days....(25th July) and am sooo excited. we've told our son but not the two daughters (they're 10 & 7) telling them we can't afford a holiday this year...which isn't too far off the mark, but hey it's been booked since last oct. don't know how i'm managing to keep quiet and am dying to tell them. My husband says to leave it as long as possible...but hey he hasn't got to do all the secret shopping etc has he?

happy holidays to you all

That's sweet! I wouldn't be able to keep it quiet, and my parents wouldn't be able to either (they took me to Disneyland for my fifth birthday, and let it slip the night before we went). Hope you have a great time!

What a surprise for them ... you confident your son won't let it slip ?

That's lovely San. My friend's husband did something similar for her a few years ago. Told her they were dropping off her brother and SIL at the airport, then when she got there they told her she was going too. SIL had even sneakily packed her clothes.

Have a lovely holiday with your family :sun2

We stayed for 3 weeks at Villa Pama last July. If you know Armutulan at all, you will know Armutulan Square and Mustis.
Villa Palma is only 2 or 3 minutes walk from there. We thought the location was brilliant as it is in a quiet residential part of Armutulan yet only a few minutes walk from bars, restaurants, shops etc. The dolmus stops right at Villa Palma and takes you into the busier part at Bar Street/Marina with minutes.

We loved the Villa Palma apartments and are booking to go back.

To be very honest they ARE very basic and truthfully could do with being upgraded a bit but remember you are not paying a fortune for them and as they say you get what you pay for. The 2 bedroom apartments, which I presume you will book, are on the 1st floor. They will have a double bedroom, another bedroom with 2 single beds and 2 sofa beds in the lounge. My daughters apartments had 3 balconies, ours had 2. They have safes in the bedroom that you can hire also you can pay for air conditioning. We had a brand new microwave in our apartment and a decent sized fridge.

Snacks are available at the poolside but the menu is limited. We did have snacks there but ate dinner out every evening at different restaurants in the area.

What made our stay was the lovely Turkish family making us so welcome. Osman and his wife Gokcen were lovely hosts and we still stay in touch. We have travelled to many places over the years but the family are all keen to return to the Villa Palma.

I am sure other posters who have visited this accomodation will give their opinion too. If I can help with anything else please ask.

Hi again

Armutulan Square is where the bus station is and just 1 minute from Mosque.

I have a feeling you have stayed at the other part of Armutulan.

Hi Andreja
The apartment we had last year was self catering booked through LowCost Beds. I am sure it was somewhere around £350 but that was for 3 weeks and was a 2 bedroom apartment. 1 bedroom would be cheaper. We booked our flights and transfers separately.
