As an over 40 myself, I have just returned from my eighth year running to Ibiza, and personally I think that Santa Eulalia is by far the best resort on the island. Its got everything, including loads of great bars and restaurants, a lovely promenade, and marina.Being a working town and not just a tourist resort, it also has much better shopping than other places. Add in great transport links to other parts of the island including Ibiza Town, and you can't go wrong! There would be more going on in October than most of the other resorts. I just love the place! As to hotels, I like the Don Carlos, but there are good reviews for La Cala, Tres Torres and the Ses Estaques (pricey as its a Thomson Gold) I really think you'd enjoy it there and people go back year after year like me!

as a basecamp Santa Eulalia would be fine for you.if you fancy a little more nightlife and tourist people try playa den bossa.its flat.near ibizatown and airport (so don;t pay transfers unless inc.).plus what dates you looking at?...in oct you know its sales in most shops.weather can be red hot.but the odd few showers.hit n miss really.but berst time to go is oct.but not too near the end...fine a cheap deal and let us know before you book.look before you buy....which airport will you need?
