i go to peurto rico every year and i would suggest the arizona apartments - they are spacious bungalows and are lovely. near the commercial centre but not noisy and have entertainment round the pool in the day - but the beach isnt far away either as everything is within 10 mins of each other!
also have a look at what ive written on where to eat - this may help aswell!

I stayed at the rio sol once, it is a great place to stay, it is in Puerto Rico, near everything, has 3 pools on diferent levels, entertainment.....
Buses to the centre below by the beach.

Clean, friendly...
