Thanks doepsmc, hubby just rushed off to Woolies now so fingers crossed.

Sun-worshipper, sorry if you are worried. We have not used Soltan products before, we also got them on BOGOF they just didn`t seem to like hubby`s skin. He used it frequently and still went bright red on his face, back and front, he wasn`t sore (or if he was didn`t let on). But whilst its not suitable for him loads and loads of other people use it and they are OK. I used the Soltan Face F30 and that was great, no spots or greasyness I would get that again that was on a BOGOF as well.
We also use the head spray F25 and have done for years. All I think is that there is something in the Sunlotion that did not agree with his skin.

I am sure lots of others will tell you they use it and its fine. I`m really sorry if you are worried now.

No-Ad is really good they do 8,15,30 and one for kiddies and it is cheaper than boots even with their BOGOF.

Doepsmc, didn`t manage to get any - only Johnsons is on offer in our Woolies. Asda don`t have any, so we`ll keep on looking.

Sorry your hubbie had a wasted journey. Perhaps it has sold out. :( Wish I had bought it when I saw it.

It's interesting what you say about Soltan, the children were OK with it in Egypt but did use the kids factor 50+, then on the last couple of days, Boots No 7, factor 25. On holiday last year in Crete someone we got talking to also burnt with Soltan, so it seems it's a bit hit and miss.

We came back from sharm last week i used Riemann P20, once a day stuff on my youngest son, and he burnt the first day, i went to a nearby supermarket and bought a factor 60, cost around £7.00, after keeping him covered for a couple of days, i used the 60 for the rest of our holiday, and he was fine. So be careful as it is very hot and you don't seem to realise how hot it is, especiallly if you get the sea breeze.

Exert taken from my holiday report...

LOW SUN CREAMS/OIL DO NOT MAKE YOU BROWN! THEY MAKE YOU BURN YOUR SKIN, GO RED, THUS NOW GIVING YOU UVA/UVB DAMAGE, WHICH CAN CAUSE SKIN CANCER. HAVING RED BURNT SKIN HAS ALREADY CAUSED YOU DAMAGE BY THIS TIME, SO BLISTERS AND MOLES COULD APPEAR - IF THIS HAPPENS, IT IS YOUR OWN FAULT!

HIGHER FACTORS OF SUN CREAMS EG, 20,25,30 AND 40 SHOULD BE USED IN VERY HOT COUNTRIES, IT WORKS IN THIS WAY.

USED AT LEAST X2 DAILY, YOU WILL NOT BURN, YOU WILL RECEIVE A LOVELY BROWN, GOLDEN TAN, WHICH DARKENS EVERY DAY. HAVING A HIGHER FACTOR HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HOW BROWN YOU GET, THE HIGHER FACTORS ARE THERE TO PREVENT UVA/UVB RAYS GETTING THROUGH AND DAMAGING YOUR SKIN. SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE THE MISCONCEPTION THAT THE LOWER YOU GO THE BETTER FOR GETTING BROWN. THIS IS TOTAL RUBBISH. THE LOWER YOU GO MEANS YOU ARE BASICALLY TELLING THE SUN TO GIVE YOU CANCER

Edit to restore normal font, watch the caps too Chelle :wink

Never ever will I buy No Ad again. Within an hour or so of using this lotion my husband, my sister and myself developed a sensitivity / reaction. Our skin was on fire for 2 - 3 days, complete with tiny blisters. Took laying covered in wet towels to cool the irritation!!
