Yeah, I looked on the website & the only difference I can see is a small seating area, but maybe there is more than that, like a better location in the grounds or something?
Didn't see the bit about the kettles, cheers!
Has anyone got a map of Sharm with it on?
Better still has anyone gor a plan of the hotel grounds/layout they can upload (no I don't know how clever people do this ).
Thank you mehmeh
There is a plan of the hotel grounds on the holiday check website here:
Thats just what I wanted/needed.
Now I've just got to find out what sort of rooms those 4 blocks nearest the sea are..........
I did email the hotel last night, but now I have the room numbers of the blocks I am interested in.
I want a room in blocks 1101-1112 & 1201-1212, OR 2101-2112 & 2201-2212 OR 3101-3110 & 3201-3210 OR 4101-4106 & 4201-4206.
Does anyone know what type of rooms ANY of these blocks are?
I want to pay the right supplement to get one of these 4 blocks.
I did email the hotel, last night, but they haven't replied.
Thanks
Kim
AGAIN THANK YOU MEHMEH
One more question, its not on the maps (as its so new). But I did read somewhere (but can't remember where) the two hotels its sandwiched between.
I'm sure I've read somewhere they are. But I haven't been there, just doing masses of research.
Still no reviews on this website from any users.
Anyone got any reviews yet?
Planing on doing a short dive (complete novice, never even snorkled before!), does the hotel have its own scuba school or can anyone recommend a good one.
Is it better to buy your snorkle & mask here before you go or there. If here can anyone recommend a placem, ebay?
Many thanks
Kim
As far as ive found out there is a seperate pool for learning scuba.

thinking of booking this hotel for end of feb 08 and wondered if anyone can give me an honest opinion about the resort, childrens facilities etc. has anyone been to sharm in feb-march and could let me know what the temperatures are like many thanks.
We went to Reef Oasis Blue Bay in December 07. None of the rooms have sea views worth bothering about. The restaurants and other facilities give you the best views of the seas. We were in a standard room which was a very good size and was superbly clean. Fresh bedlinen as well as towels every day. 5 pools, numerous bars. No need to take towels. You can have clean ones at every pool, after every swim and you can even take them on the day boat trips if you want. Don't know what the suites are like but our standard room has a walk in shower which was fantastic. Water and soft drinks replaced in mini bar every day. Tea/coffee making facilities all there and also replenished with big bottles of water and tea/coffee/dried milk etc each day. Air con included, self controlled. Safety box in room - no charge. We too don't drink much but was blown away with this hotel considering what we paid, we were expecting much less for our money. The hotel wasn't too busy when we were there so we didn't have to book for the restaurants, and you could visit as often as you wanted. The beach is nice with lots of beds & parasols. One of the pools is so warm, its almost like a bath. Jacuzzis also near the pool area. Never been before but will definately be going again. Enjoy your holiday.
Can't give you any real info, but just to say I've recently booked this hotel for May and took advice from a good friend who travels to Egypt a lot. She hadn't stayed here as she likes to go B and B, not AI, but her friends had stayed here and all loved it. Read reviews on other sites as there are none on HT as yet.

Stayed at this hotel in December 07. One word Fabulous! Never been to Egypt before and didn't know what to expect. Couldn't fault it. 7 or 8 bars, 5 pools, 4 restaurants, beach, jetty to go snorkelling, its own scuba schools. Free towels everywhere. Very, very clean. Rooms fantastic. Huge complex with 2 amphitheatres, day & night enterntainment. Staff very efficient and friendly.
How nice to hear from someone that's been there, was beginning to think nobody had!
Did you go All Inclusive? If so did that mean you used just one restaurant or could you go to any of them? Did you go into the town? If so what's there and what's it like?
Sorry so many questions, but you seem to be a rarity!!!!!!!!
We're going AI with Portland Holidays for a (child-free!) week in May, can't wait.

iv book to stay here in march and its our first time here could any one tell us what the dress code is in this hotel at meal times for men? will i need to wear trousess or will shorts and tshirt be ok
Hi, I've booked for May and have been avidly reading reviews. One thing which was mentioned once was that ice cream is not on all inclusive which would be a real pain with 2 small kids in tow!
Would be interested to know about dress code please and also ice cream for children.
Many thanks
Hi Eglons
I don't know if this applies to most Egyptian hotels, but we were told my husband would need trousers when we stayed at the Sofitel, Taba Heights last April. Actually he could have got away with long shorts as many others did.
We too are going to Reef Oasis Blue Bay, but in May. I will be looking out for any replies you might get to your question. Failing that, perhaps when you get back you could let us interested parties know the answer to this and our many other questions!
Juliet
hi am going 23rd march to 6 april we booked with portland which was cheaper than thomson by about £500.00
Occaisional person was wearing shorts. Mostly long trousers - but then it was December when we went and it was cool in the evenings. Fairly relaxed altogether. Hotel does have its own scuba school with separate pool to learn in and then live dives of a platform. Snorkelling gear is available to hire but would probably be better getting some before you go - it would save money.
