shouldn't you be telling us where all the best places are?... lol
so do you know that old looking little cafe in Paralimni.. can't remember where, just remember walking past and thinking wonder if thats a real home cooked type place... looked very old, seem to remember green wood.. a few tables.. nothing much more than a house with a sign.. not a big fancy shop type thing...
i dont know which one exactly there are a few littke places like that in paralimni was it in the centre or on the main road-bus route
In Napa there is so much to choose from but you must visit
1 Los Bandidos the mexican - behind the square
2 Clarabel on the main st
3 Fiji Polynesian above the Clarabel
4 Pagoda chinese restaurant on nissi avenue
5 Theres an Italian two doors down from the mexican (sorry ive forgotton the name) but its the best Italian I have ever had all the pasta is made fresh and the pizzas are to die for
Hope this helps
we walked from Pernera.. it was sort of above the street if you will.. The tables were about shoulder height from the road. (almost certain I don't have a photo). Somewere near the shops, on the outskirts of the centre, sort of the way in towards the main area (before you get to places like the fountain and marks and spencers)
i know which one you mean its not far from my house dont know the name but will have a look next time im out and let you know i think it is dorfli cafe
if you could take a picture... LOL
well not right now as its 11 at night but if i get chance i will
lol....... thanks.,..
Protaras - Perla Blu on the main strip for something a bit different and great desserts
Napa - Sapporo Japanese up around the corner behind Bedrock for the experience and tasty food

They even closed it for a few day in June to redecorate and to move the bar but it didn't seem any different.
All I can say was I was very disappointed...........
We did go to the Mexican in Eden Square which was really lovely, although I did feel that we got our meals very quickly,we then sat outside having a few drinks and listenind to guy who sang and played the guitar and he was amazing!!!...
The Indian - The Raj was really nice aswell a lot better than last year and I would recommend it to anyone. The rest of the time we tended to eat at Nicholas Taverna, and had 2 lovely meals at the Mexican at the top end of the strip called Chi Chi's.
Everyone has different tastes I guess, I think I must be one of the only people on here who wouldn't ever recommend Nicolas Tavern as I wasn't impressed!
Hey ho....
Roll on next year, can't wait to get back!
As I said we were just disappointed with it this year but maybe I was comparing it too much to last.Last year it was always really busy but not this year it seemed a lot quiter,I think when we were in there, there was only 3 more couples.
The Hokkaido and Sapporo Japanese restaurants are also worth visiting, as is the Fiji and Los Bandidos.
For fresh fish, try Karousos on the left side of the harbour, near the beach.
The only places I rate in Protaras are the Diva, The Raj (Indian) and Blue Spice.
Sadly there are still too many places in the resorts with glitzy facades and lousy food
If you want to get out to where the locals eat, try Costas Square Taverna in Sotira, The Plumin in Sotira, the farthest fish taverna at Liopetri Potamos (I can't remember it's name ), Varoshiotis Fish Restaurant, between the Fort and the airport in Larnaca. I've also just started going to the Lavezin, which is excellent and on the road from Dherinyia to Sotira
There's more but I'm off for dinner now

We also ate at Perla Blu, and although we had enjoyed meals there the last few years we had been back, our one meal there this time wasn't very good - although it was the night before they closed for the "refurb". We didn't go back to try what it was like afterwards.
The one restaurant I would recommend is Faliros in Pernera, just a short taxi ride away. It's on the end of a rank of shops/pubs on the left as you go into Kapparis. The kleftiko there is out of this world! We went there three times in two weeks - I had kleftiko each time. We went with friends who all had something different and they all said how lovely it was.
The meze at Noufaro is very nice, as is the pork fillet stuffed with feta cheese at the restaurant which is opposite the Golden Coast Hotel in Pernera, the name of which escapes me! Perhaps some kind soul can remind me!
wasn't something like "Sizzlers" was it ? (or am I making that up ?)
It was July this year, although we only went there the once (too many others to try!) it was very good. It was also really busy.
I'll hopefully sample again in a few weeks and let you know how it was!

Cabbie...............where's the Sage ?
If you go up from the traffic lights, past KFC, Pizza Hut and the Fiji, then take the first right, it's about 200 meters down the road.
Did this place have blue railings around it and was it just down from the old church,
There is a place there like that, been in there it was called the Oldest Taverna in Town/
Elizabeth
The sage is opposite the new toni and guy hair salon
