We are heading to the Sunset Beach in Candolim 13th April for 2 weeks. We normally go a few weeks earlier, when most restaurants are still open. We did go right at the end of the season about 5 years ago and a lot had closed by the time we were coming home. I can't remember which ones stayed open. Any one know which restaurants, around the Candolim/Calangute area, are still in operation until the end of April? We go to Ganesh shack and he will definitely be there until the end, so no worries there.
Thanks
Gail
Beachway restaurant at the Candolim/Panjim crossroads is open right through the monsoon. It doesn't close. Good menu, great tandoori and good staff. I got back yesterday and a few of the shack owners were telling me they're taking down their shacks either on the 15th or 21st April. I'm sure there'll be plenty still around though.
Thanks Sim1. We've never tried the Beachway. We do like a good tandoori and garlic naan so it sounds spot on. The last time we were there so late quite a few of the restaurants were closed and a lot of the shacks were down. I'm sure we'll be fine. We don't mind it being quiet. So far I've never had a bad meal in Goa. Some have just been better than others.
