My site is open all year but we have a seasonal pitch this year which starts on 1st March, I can't wait, been counting down the weeks for ages :)

Ah ... so i'm not the only one then! :D

Getting everything planned already too, and i've still over 2 weeks to go!!

Well if you fancy a site in West Sussex that's open all year I'll be happy to pass on the details of the site I use Briar :)

To be honest i wouldn't fancy using our static on the west coast of Scotland in December or January, thank you very much!! :D :D :D

In saying that, there were some days in February last year when i was down checking the van where i could have quite happily stayed over!

We had a long weekend at our van in November and it was ok, very cold but once we got the heaters going it was fine. I don't mind what time of year I go, I just like to get away from home!
Briar am I ok to post the website for the park on here or is it better to pm you with it?

In Briar absence I think it will be OK to post the link to the site.

Our site opens at Easter or April 1st which ever is earliest until the weekend of Bonfire night. We can visit any time and our friends actually stayed in theirs 2 winters ago as they had sold their house.Luckily it was a very mild winter. We were going to visit 2 weeks ago but 200 motorists were stranded on the A66 in snowdrifts and were taken to a hotel in the next village to the caravan until they could be rescued!.

Thank you Luci :)

It's a nice quiet little site with a licensed shop, a kids playground and fantastic shower/washing facilities, loads to do in the surrounding area, I can't wait to get back up there on 1st!

Hi
Our site is Holiday Green in Frejus and it doesnt open until April 1st until September 30th every year,so this year it isnt even open for Easter which I think is a bit of a shame really, lots of people like to come to the south of france at easter time, never mind we will have to wait until April 12th to go.

21st of February. Really looking forward to it as we only completed in September last year and got very little use. First trip out - 20th of March 01:20ish Eurotunnel.

And yes - we have started to pack ;)

Much as i love my caravan on the west coast of Scotland, i do wish i lived far enough south to have one across the channel in Brittany!

Wee I went and cleaned mine yesterday ready for the 1st March and then decided I couldn't wait so have booked a midweek break for this week :)

Checked mine yesterday too ... looking tip top, and was doing some rewiring on it for a new heater, so it's all good to go for March!

We take our tourer out all year and find it very difficult to find sites open as like our Lady friend Nette we get more time off in winter
we were actually away for New Year on a nice Pub site in Derbyshire (Grouse and Claret at Rowsley)

Wish more site owners would spare the time to keep some pitches open
and I wish in the UK more site owners would stop going over to all static makes me :banghead:

I have been told that some of our site is going to be given over to statics now, there are 2 fields at the moment, they already have a couple of holiday lodges on one half of the other field and now apparently they are going to put statics on the other half.
I'm slightly concerned after all the torrential rain we have had over the last few days that the ground is going to be extremely soggy on Saturday and I'm not going to be able to get the awning set up

I can hardy wait for our site to open(Easter)as I was watching Ladette to Lady last night and got a glimpse of our site at the end of the programme when the winner was being whisked away in a helicopter.

Couldn't have picked a worse weekend wind wise, the awning was a nightmare to put up and it nearly blew away with the OH hanging off the end of it :D Had a lovely time though and at least I don't have to do anything now til the end of October

Was on-call manager the weekend past, so didn't make it down, but weather permitting i'm looking forward to getting our static all sorted out this weekend :)
