Hi All
We opened up our caravan start of March, revisited this last weekend for a few days break.
Although rainy overnight Saturday it was dry during daylight hours.
The vans got double glazing & gas rad central heating so we were as warm as toast Back up onsite early April & looking forward to a better summer than last year !!
Lloydies your caravan is the same make as ours a Cosalt.Ours is a Devon but this weekend is forecast snow!Even though it has the double glazing and central heating I dont fancy digging our way out!
Having experienced it for two years now, i'm glad we did as during the summer we seem to spend more time chasing the heat out of the caravan with the windows and doors open. It's like a wee oven, and that's in Scotland ... i dread to think what it would be like with DG!!!! Even during last years pretty poor summer, it was still nice and cosy
I'm hoping for a better summer this year though, as i've decided to spend some cash on the house this year and we'll have three weeks at the caravan ... so fingers crossed!
We only decided to buy this caravan as the previous owner had had a fall out with his site owner and just wanted rid of it.Our previous caravan was only 3 years old but when we got the chance to buy this one at half what the original owner had paid 4 years earlier we jumped at the chance. We are able to use it any time although we tend to only go when the site is officially open,March-November.We have been on the site 21 years and I am wanting my hubby to sell up and buy a motor home.Even more now that I have just read Briars trip report
Was only 4 or 5C outside, but was still 20C inside the caravan this weekend with the sun out!
Nice club with entertainment late at night
Good for bringing your tent/caravan or you can hire a caravan.
All round good for everyone Dont exactly know when it opens but closes at novemberish!!
