On a recent visit to Tenerife I came across The Pantry which is at or near Fanabe Plaza. They specialise in sandwiches, snacks, salads and homemade sweets and offer a take away service. I had some sandwiches for a packed lunch one day and they were excellent and freshly made - none of your prepacked stuff - and a piece of chocolate cake that was the best I think I had ever eaten. I believe the staff are English and offer excellent service. MyraLock :)

Next June is my husband's 50 birthday, I have booked hotel, flights etc. I have invited a few friends/family over as a surprise and have been looking for a nice (reasonably priced) restaurant we can all meet up. The Molino Blanco looks extremely nice. Has anyone been there recently and can you advise as to where exactly it is please. Many thanks.

Hi Dawntra
You will enjoy it there I'm sure. Tell them its a special occasion when you book and they will make a special effort for you.
If you know the San Eugenio shopping centre? Then turn up the road at the side of it (past the taxi rank outside entrance to Mercadona) so the Las Dalias hotel is on your right, walk across the motorway bridge and immediately on your left you will see a white windmill set in lovely gardens - thats it.

Vivien-Marie,

Thanks for your reply. I know exactly where you are talking about, very much appreciated. I've looked on their website and everything looks lovely. Can I ask one further question, are the menu/wine prices reasonable? Thanks again.
Reply
Prices are reasonable, slightly dearer than average but not excessive at all, cant remember what they were but would guess around 20euros for main meal? House wine was about 12 euros I think. Desserts were lovely, around 7 euros?
Do they not have a sample menu on the website?
I'm sure another member will remember the prices better than me.
You will need to book in advance.

Viven-Marie,
Thank you once again. Yes they had sample menus but no prices, the menus did look delicious though. Sounds all good. Thank you.

We all have a favourite restaurant, Nickys Original Bistro is certainly mine.

All homemade freshly cooked food, crunchy vegetables, excellent front of office service, on time, reasonable prices, a pleasure to eat there. If you are really hungry try the leg of lamb, only for big eaters.

So if you want to find an excellent friendly family run restaurant in Los Cristianos, you will find it tucked away just off the pedestrian walkway that goes from the church square to the beach, you may need to book 922792031

That's not The Bistro is it? Is there two in Los Cris?

I've enjoyed the food at Sal Luis a couple of times and can recommend it as a place which at least nods towards Spain. It's in Los Cristianos; to find it, get to the church square and take a left nearest the church (there's a restaurant called Gran Reserva, I think, at the corner, but walk past it). San Luis is about 300 yards on the right up a flight of steps which separate San Luis from a grisly Texan steakhouse.
