How much disruption is this causing on the beach?
We usually frequent Stringfellos (sp) beach shack, do you know if this is up yet and if the hammering can be heard here?

None at all at present Polly, the small dredger type craft comes and goes and the workers on board can be heard hammering away but apart from that everything on the beach is normal Alan
My bloke reckons they will not be taking the princess away but are doing lots of work inside it.
Does anyone know if the Baywatch shack is up yet? its down towards the sinquerim end of the beach just before the start of the Taj
I'm in Candolim at the moment and the Baywatch shack is up, I'd say about 70% of them are up and running now, with the others being worked on.
There was also a huge structure out at see which our boat driver told us was the cutting gear for the River Princess, it was there, out to sea, for about 3 days and has now disappeared!!

It was actually a bog standard jack up drilling rig, dont know why it was there, but nothing to do with the salvage attempt on the Princess Alan
any more news on the river princess to tell us , cant wait to see the back of it one big eye sore. we will be arriving in jan do you think it will be gone by then . thanks to all you on the ground there to let us all know back home...toe
When we left last Sunday, occasional hammering could be heard, but one certainly got no sense of urgency about matters. I'll be back towards the end of Feb. and will be surprised if she's not sitting there as usual, to greet me Alan
Can you tell me how bad the sea erosion is infront of Calamari, I am getting married there on the 23rd Dec?
It's not too bad. There is less space than there used to be, so they have moved some of the sundeds to the side of the shack, but it's still a good place.

There was an inspection team on early in November as well

any news on the river princess, as it gone yet!!!!! 
Work on the ship started on Wednesday, and will be refloated and towed away within 3 months, it is to be taken 12 nautical miles from the coast, dismantled and reduced to scrap, You can hear people working on it so mayby this time it will actually be removed.
