last season we stayed in the south of goa and went to margoa regularly to buy food from the market and we also used a shop which i think was called royal goan foods
what i would like to know is , is this shop part of a chain and if so where are there any more please

If you mean the chicken eats place it is indeed a chain There is one just along from the main market in Calangute on the Candolim road Alan

Also one next to the market in Panjim
Royal Foods are in Panjim near the Fruit Market, Calangute/Candolim Road (the nice posh place), Mapusa behind the fish market, it's quite a nice chain good fresh chicken, some lovely and cheap bread/chicken products, you get lots for about 20 Rs/- The also do pretty good cakes, although Goan cakes aren't really my thing... but still nice...
