Hi Gail
I got the same respnse but the silly beggers got my name wrong halfway through and then got the hotel wrong. It is so obviously a standard reply where they just change the name of the hotel and whoever the are repling to.
As Dazznuts has mentioned, FC are looking to make it exclusive so will probably have more clought to sort it out. Not that they did with Pegasus palace but that is another story!
Best thing to do is review the comments at the start of season next year and write this season off. Although I have read one good review from someone who has just returned.
When I changed my holiday, the very helpful chap was telling me the hotel was under investigation and will not be commenting on the reviews until they have had the information back.
I am just hoping with all the publicity in the papers ect they will make sure it is perfect for next year.
My freind went to the turkey holiday village last year and june this year and she is going back for 2 weeks at the october school hols and she has also booked for june next year so it cannot be that bad, we were going to try one of the holiday villages but they are so expensive in July and august.
Well i am now going to concentrate on Christmas now and come back and check next year on the sites.
Hope you all have good holidays , as i say a holiday is what you make of it yourself ,we always meet great people and are having to much of a good time to notice the bad points,i think our family have just been lucky over the years not to pick up any bugs, virus or food poisining.
The only time i am ill on holiday is with consuming way to much spirits and i can say thats self conflicted.. lol..
This is from the Complaints Section. I suggest you have a word with Ros, she might suggest a course of action that could make First Choice change their minds. She might even know of court cases pending re the food poisoning at this hotel.

Again, we go on holiday to relax and have a good time, we're grateful that someone picks up after us, cleans up, serves our food and takes all the hassle out of everything. This place was fantastic last year and, I can happily report, is still the same.....we've never been back to any resort twice, but for this one we broke the rules
Yes, there's chipped crockery, yes, there's a big rush of people heading to the main hall the minute it opens, yes there was the odd piece of chicken undercooked.......if I had a pound for every chipped plate I'd eated off I'd be a millionaire....and if the main hall gets busy wait an hour.....if food's too undercooked, or warm, for your liking just put it in one of the many microwaves. We went as a couple, neither of us got dodgy tummy last year and we didn't this year, the food, and choice and variety, was unbelievable. Still the same problem of children poking and proding everything on offer.......unbelievable, but then kids are kids!
For anyone thinking of going there.....what can I say, don't worry, if you're going as a family it's perfect, with the water park there's plenty to do, for younger kids right through to teenagers. FC work so hard to keep youngsters happy, and with teenagers.....well well you can relax while they go mad doing whatever it is teenagers do!!!!!
The staff are still working unbelievable hard, with a smile on their faces (how they do it I don't know!), there were times they didn't jump to my service immediately, or didn't smile readily, but then I don't blame them.........I wouldn't either having to cope with people who appeared unhappy with anything and everything, from their lumpy mattresses to the crowded restaurants!!
thinking of trying this in june2008, reviews seem mixed, any news is this going to be first choice only hotel? what is the water park like? cheers nic
I have just uploaded some pictures of Elenite, there are some of the water park which was still getting more rides added when we were there in October.

is this going to be first choice only hotel?
Don't be taken in by the First Choice only claim, Elenite is actually like a small village made up of several hotels and chalet style villa accomodation with many tour companies using it.
First Choice might be the only UK company using the Royal Park but the whole resort will be made up of many tour companies from many different nations, for example My Travel / Thomas Cook will also be there.
Me and my family 3 Adults and 3 children are going on holiday to this hotel this August, in recent years i have been to holiday villages that have towel huts for your beach towels etc, does this hotel have this or do you have to bring your own beach towel, also any help on trips etc would be helpful who is the best people to get trips through hotel/first choice or an outside comapany

There's a 'contacts' facility (top right hand side of page) on the Royal Park website, if you aren't able to find out from previous guests.

Many thanks for that, might be a silly question but my wife is starting to pack !!!
Hi Wakeford 535 just wondering when in June you are going and for how long? Me and my hubbie and 3 kids are going on June 23rd and would love some feedback from someone who has been there recently.

Thanks anyway Wakeford. We are actually coming home the day you fly out, hope you have a great time too.
Me my husband and 2 kids age 7 and 12 fly out on the 7th also we are flying from glasgow.I hear your wife has started packing , i havn,t yet but i have bought all my stuff just waiting to go into case .We were in Bulgaria 2 years ago and you can pick up towels for next to nothing.so if you are worried about your baggage weight i would just wait and buy towels when you arrive.
I would suggest you maybe took 1 towel of your own then bought some more
Thank you very much for everyones help
First time post. My wife, myself and 2 kids fly out on 11 July 08 for our 1st holiday in Bulgaria. When we went in to 1st choice to book a holiday we did ask for Sunny beach as I've heard really good reports but somehow managed to come away with 2 weeks in Roya park. Can you imagine how I felt when I typed in the hotel name in Google and a avalance of complaints came back. Anyway has anyone been this year who can give an up to date account of how the hotel is now. Any feed back would be great!
