Hi,
I am booked to visit Hammamet on 9th April and will be bringing my two teenage children with me.
Can anyone let me know what the atmosphere / mood is like in the area at the moment?
Whilst Tunisia is generally out of the news at the moment, I am concerned that the situation may still be volatile and am not sure that a holiday there is a good idea.
Many thnaks,
Barry
There have been some reports on Trip Advisor from people returning and from people who live there and all is great.
The people want the tourists back and are very welcoming.
I've been to Hammamet many times and love it - I'm sure you will too. Tunisia needs the tourists back right now, and as Jay Trip has said, you'll almost certainly receive a very warm welcome, if recent reports from people coming back from there are anything to go by.
So please go - and have a great time
It has left me feeling less worried about what is going on there.
I ahve been twice before and am looking forward to sipping a beer on the terrace of the brauhaus during sunset.
If anyone has any other tips, I would gladly receive them!
