iam going to book a week for second week of september next year just before they leave,we could all on here do that and have a holiday truth party !!!
for anyone thinking of going next year,a warning i think when word gets out they are leaving it will be booked up quick,i agree that the new people will need to be given a fair chance but san miguel will never be the same when zorro and co go.
anyone remember the guy before zorro ? the big jordie lad.
john.
I haven't even been there before but, because of all the reviews, even I feel sad about Zorro leaving and I haven't even met the guy yet! We go this August, and I've already booked next summer's holiday to Crete, so we won't be back in 2008, but I had planned on going back to San Miguel in 2009 if it turns out as good as everyone says - however obviously if the entertainment team is different then it can be a totally different holiday experience Oh well, if I save up really hard I might be able to manage May/June half-term next year just for a week but that will really be pushing the budget
go on blow it the bank manager wont mind - you only live once...
Eleven days to go.
john.
Anyone know the rough price of a taxi from San Mig to the water park, and how far is the water park from Ibiza town?
looking at about 35 or more euros from san mig...the water park is in playa den bossa.a couple of miles from ibiza town...
you would be better to get the bus into ibiza town (2euros 35 cents) then a taxi from there or get the other bus into playa den bossa that runs from 100 yards down the road from where the other bus drops you off.
Good idea John, - how long does the bus take to get to Ibiza town?
one more tip i learned last week.if you smoke you need to get up the hill to san mig.to the fag shop...if your buying loads even useing cash.you will need your passport.a few guys had a bad time last week.cost them 40 euros in a taxi.with having to go back to get passport.and the exchange rate was very poor they said.
from memory buses leave san mig 0930 , 1100 & 1300hrs and take about 30 mins to ibiza town.
look when thomsons ect are going to the waterpark and pick a different day it will be quieter
i always thought the buses were pretty good here...
thanks in advance tracey
Hi Tracey, There are normally plenty of taxis in the airport car park & some people carriers, which I should imagine can take upto 7 people not much room for your luggage though...Cant give you a price of the taxi from the airport to San Miguel, weve always taken the coach thats provided...Normally there is a rep on board, only on 1 trip there was not a rep...You will know when you get to San Miguel its the last resort they drop off at, plus the driver lets you know & normally everyone gets off...I really would not waste money getting a taxi, just relax and enjoy the view from the coach its good fun...Hope this helps, if not there will be someone out there who will be able to let you know the taxi cost...Happy Holiday...
thanks tracey
Hi Tracy, The time really depends on how many stops that are done before San Miguel...It takes between 30 & 45 mins normally...
Last year it took us 30 minutes with a stop off at Ibiza town. At this time in two weeks time we'll be in the air on our way back there!!
Taxi's from airport take about 25 mins and cost us 30 euro's each way last year ,dead easy to get as well
Just looked at the San Miguel Hotel on Portland, i'm sure last year they were selling holidays at the San Miguel Club, can anyone tell me what the difference is???
They are both part of the same complex and you can use the facilities at either. The Hotel has a bigger restaurant but even if you stay at the beach club you can still use the hotel restaurant. The beach club for some reason is slightly more expensive than the hotel. (only about £10 extra)
