Hi there.

I am considering this hotel for next year. Have been to various other AI's including Louis Phaethon, Cyprus; Sun Palace, Rhodes; Esmeralda, Menorca. We enjoy the normal daytime entertainment but what is putting me off this hotel is that everyone is saying how everyone has to get involved in the evening entertainment. I HATE having to get involved at night. I will get up to the club dances but it is not my nature to get up to on stage competitions, etc. Will I be made to join it? I don't want to miss out on what seems a very good AI hotel just because of this. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for all your help.

Hi eileenp :tup

you fly out same day as us. Where are you flying from??

Fluff29, noone will make you get up and get involved in any stage competitions. The competitors are usually picked earlier on, and if someone is asked and they don't want to do it, rest assured there will be a huge queue of ready volunteers.
You can do as much or as little as you want and feel absolutely no pressure :tup

You are definitely not made to join in, in fact there are so many people volunteering that you would struggle to take part if you wanted to get on the stage!!! Although one of our group did last year for the hypnosis. Hoping that 'Boogie Nights' :cheers starts next Thursday as that means it will be on the week that we are there in Aug!!!!!!!!!! :sun2

Slightly :offtop but this has led me to ask what would you volunteer to do - if anything? I'd love to do Miss San Miguel, but alas haven't got the nerves to go up on stage. :que

Hi Shellyd :)

we are staying in the hotel, but will be down by the beach club during the day as we've got a 3 year old and the pool there is a little bit more fun for her. The weather forcast is looking good, I pleased to say :sun2 I don't think there is anything to worry about there. We have an 11 yr old as wel, and I agree that the SM is a great place for kids of all ages (including the adult ones! ;). But if you see us we're the ones that will be frantically chasing an extremely energetic and strong willed 3 year old around :duh

i too will be chasing a 3 year old around :tongue my daughters are alex who is 6 but is the height of a 9 year old and millie who is 3 but is a little squirt hahaha she is mad ,we do go in the beach club pool as that is where we normally stay but we have to go in the top pool as alex is addicted to the mexican corner food !! the kiddie pool up there is also quieter, hope to see you there ,in between running!! :tup

Hi Shellyd,

well there may be confusion here!! If you're running after a 3 yr old Millie, I'm running round after 3 yr old Molly!!! I'm sure we'll bump into each other. Is Millie going to kids club?? Molly will go but only if we sit outside and wait for her, which isn't a problem as its handy for the pool, sun and bar!!!
