Hi
Can I ask you to keep your posts specific to the San Miguel so that members looking for information on this hotel can find it easily?
You can use the PM (private messaging) facility for off topic chat.
Thanks.
luci
I was very worried about going to this hotel as I'd heard some awful stories (lifts never working/poor food/tiny bedrooms/cold pools/poor state of hotel) but I've been re-assured after reading posts on this forum-thanks everybody!
Just worried about feeding my 1 year old-is there a good choice of food for wee ones this age?
were there on the 23rd june for 2 weeks so there the same time ish..its our 5th year at the sanmiguel..my boys are now 10 and 14..so they have been going since 5 and 9 and love the place..yes the lifts can be a bit hit and miss..all pools are cold when you 1st get in..depending on the weather..the food is ok,..breakfast is great ..the snack bar is good ..so is the chinese..evening dinner can be a bit hit and miss but there is always something to eat..i tip we found is the beach club restraunt is a little better than the hotel you can eat there everyday if you want but need to book it 24 hours earlier ..and for that special night there is reportably the best restraunt in ibiza just a minutes work from the hotel..and i can you they are no far wrong with that opinion steak to die for..fish thats so fresh..and real chips lol..is worth a visit if only once sat on the sea front watching the sea roll in and out. lovely way to spend an evening..does anybody know if the entertainment has gone outside yet as the weather on the internet still aint brilliant
Also watch out for the cost of nappies - suggest you buy their own brand ones, if you're not taking enough to last the holiday, as pampers cost more than the national debt.
The lifts can be a pain but not as bad as they are made out to be.
You'll always find something to eat that you'll like, but if you are in the hotel restaurant for your evening meal suggest you sit as far away from the windows as possible as it is really hot their. The view is stunning but you will cook.
Echo the thoughts about the restaurant on the other side of the bay. It really is worth treating yourselves to a meal there.
Hope you enjoy it - let us know what you think when you get back.
Not a lotta people know that.
Divley , that was a secret, now everyone will be up there!! lol When's boogie nights starting anyone?? Can someone who is already there pop along to the galeon for me and see if Nick and Dimitri are there doing the entertainment? thanks
Must try the restaurant in the bay and the mexican in the Galleon-let you know what we think.
Is ther weather any better yet? Internet says it's same temp as here!!!
i am just packing for tomorrow and have been checking the baggage rules for thomson fly but i am confused ? i usually only take 3 suitcases even though there are 4 of us and we combine our luggage ,typical bag weighs 25kg ,now thomson say no bag over 32kg but also no combining luggage no single bag over 20kg ??? help also can i take 3 hand luggage ? we fly from manchester to ibiza for san miguel tomorrow so if any one has been recently please let me know quick cheers .
Also, what time do they serve breakfast until?
To all of you goin soon I hope have a great holiday and great weathe.r,
we were also unable to get a seaview upgrade when booking with Thomson (Double for 4). I emailed the hotel, and they have done the upgrade for us.
If you are on the other side you will get a view of the pool area, and a side on view of the sea, but as I say you can upgrade via the hotel.
Breakfast i think is either or 10 am or 10.30 am, can't remember properly!!
We go on weds, so I can update if no one can answer now
Will e mail hotel and try to get our sea view. how much did your upgrade cost?
Pm sent to you
Hi everyone, does anyone have the email address for the hotel? Can someone do me a favour and pop along to the Galeon and see if Nick and Dimitri are there doing the entertainment, thanks
Mollimoo how do I go about the upgrade to sea view room, is there a charge? also is it possible to request certain room numbers as would like to be in the same rooms as last year thanks
Hi - I would appreciate details of the room upgrade too if someone would be kind enough to PM me
Can any of the guys who have been out already confirm if Jose is still in the bar at the Western saloon.
Hi
Thats good news.I read a review on another site saying the bar staff were very rude.It didn't sound like Jose.May'be wee Ritchie was throwing water over them.
It seems a bit unusual to say they're rude, probably just got their heads down busy. Altough Ramon can be a bit off sometimes
Manchester brace yourselves.
