Disabled Person Holiday Discussions

Are you disabled or know someone who is? What are your experiences of hotels and resorts as a disabled person?

I have just been told of the most disgusting horrendous incident and I am soooo angry!!! :x

One of my guests, who is disabled, was just venturing down to the sea front in her electric chair with her 8 year old daughter, she then had her handbag snatched from her chair!!! How Horrific!!!!

Please Please Please, always cross your bag over you or have it secured to your chair.

They managed to get apartment keys, which are NOT named or numbered, 300 euros and credit cards and mobile phone. Luckily, the police have been fantastic and all incident reports have been sorted immediately.

I just feel terrible that this poor womans holiday has been ruined by some cowards, who we guess are morroccan!!

What a terrible thing to have to go through on holiday. These morons will always go for an easy target. When I am out on my scooter I always wear a bag that goes over the head and sits on your front. I`m afraid I don`t feel safe anywhere these days at home or abroad.

It isnt just the vunerable that are robbed in Tenerife.My cousin had her purse snatched by a gipsy woman in Los Crisianos,fortuately she managed to get most of the money back.My nephew was murdered in Playa las Americas and dumped in the dock at Santa Cruz but thats another story.

She was and what a strong woman she was, she said it would have spoilt her holiday more if it had rained, she didn't really care about the mugging, just the fact that they did it in front of her 8 year old daughter

It isnt just the vunerable that are robbed in Tenerife.


Muggings, murders, rapes, theft etc etc go on ALL over the world, NOT just in Tenerife!! :roll:

THE WORMS they ought to crawl back into their woodwork,I never feel safe using my electric chair and its reading about these worms that make me wary,Ichain my wallet to my trousers and everything else is wrappped round the chair.I hope these people rot in hell,my prayers for the victims maxie :x
