:) Thank you for that, much appreciated, but we have decided to cancel. It is not what we were expecting. For the price we have paid, we think we can get a much better deal elsewhere. We will look again at this hotel next year when, hopefully, things will be ok. I am just grateful to everyone for drawing our attention to the problems. :grin

I think we are going to stick with it, hope things are sorted out by 28th Sept and as it is near end of season we are hoping that the place won't be as crowded, :)

We are quite looking forward to going now, I think there have been a lot of teething problems but I do believe having spoken to lots of people that they really are in a panic to do their best and get things sorted.

Rockchic, where are you flying from, we're flying from Gatwick. Im very keen to find out about the kids clubs as we have got 2 kids aged 8 and 10.

Anyone with any info on kids clubs would be really appreciated.

Im feeling quite optomistic about things now, we decided that even if we went somewhere else it would still be the unknown - Im sure it cant be all that bad.

Are you flying from Gatwick.

We feel the same! We are flying from Luton. I also have two Children, aged 15 and 10. They are really looking forward to it!
Have you got a swim up room? Wish we had, there wasn't any left when we booked, Thompson have a suite with private pool left, but they want another £560 on top of the £4170 we have already paid! Im thinking that if the place turns out to be as bad as people are saying it is, no way do I want to spend any more money on the holiday!!

I think we're flying from Gatwick, will double check. The kids are really excited, Im a bit worried about the kids clubs as where we've been in the past they have been fantatic - so they are expecting more of the same. I guess your 15 year olds too old for that, what about your 10 year old - is it a boy or girl, we've got two boys.

One result I had was originally we were booked into two separate rooms, but Thomson couldnt guarantee them next to eachother. We didnt want this but thats all that was left. When I was giving them a hard time last week thinking of canx. I said there was no way I could take the gamble of being in separate parts of the hotel - they the miraculously came up with a Suite, not swim up though as they told me there werent any left. Having said that Im sure I read the non swim up are meant to be better located and nicer.

Guess we should make the best of it, if nothing else it sounds like the beds are nice - so long as the sun is out Im quite easily pleased!

Kids Club.

As we were leaving there were starting a new system but this is as up-to-date as I can tell you.

There are, or were, 4 "minded" sessions throughout the day each lasting for one hour.

10 - 11am
11.15 - 12.15
2 - 3 pm
3.15 - 4.15pm.

However by the time you had queued and booked them in it was more like 45 mins.

When we started you couldn't book - so people queued and it was first come first served. If you failed to get into one session then you could 'book' the next so you were guaranteed a place. There were only 3 staff = 24 children places which I hope/presume they've improved.

On our last day they had started a new system which meant you could 'book' one session in the day (and then queue for the others if you felt like it). So instead of queuing for a session, you now queue at 9.30am to book in. :think

Places went quickly and frankly - when you consider the cost - it's laughable. By the time you had queued for a session, booked them in and returned to your sun lounger (if you were lucky enough to have one), it wasn't long before you were off to collect them.

There are other sessions where there is no childcare cover and there were overnighters for 50 Euros each.

Unless they've radically changed the system or tripled the staff then it's a bun fight.

As I said before the childcare is not a patch on Mark Warner but that said, the kids loved it and even 45 minutes respite is worth it.

Thanks for the info on the kids clubs. Were the activities worthwhile once they got in - what sort of things did it include, Ive got 2 kids aged 8 and 11 is there anything suitable for those age groups. What type of activites were going on in the non-supervised kids activities. My kids are very non sporty so usually love the clubs as an alternative to football and such like.

Hi, did anyone else receive the Sensatori newsletter today? Interesting that they have actually mentioned some of the issues constantly raised on here and tripadvisor ie. slippery floors and drink prices. It also states in black and white that "sensatori guests can now use the sunbeds on the beach free of charge". There are some actual pictures but not really anything we havn't already seen from fellow holidaymakers. I notice the lazy river doesn't even warrent a mention...... it must be bad :shrug
All in all still looking forward to our holiday.......and me..... I'm heading for the beach :cheers

Hi Soosy. : :cheers
This is an update brochure from the Sensatori team telling its customers what is going on. In short what they say is on here and trip advisor forums the only thing I did not know is that sun beds on the beach are now free and men must wear long trousres for dinner.Your update will probably arrive in the next day or so. :fly :sun2
