Arriving injust over 2 weeks and staying at Holiday Inn on Mobor Beach, anyone know what the shack situation is there at the moment

We use the Sea Side Shack in Candolim, near the Sonesta Inn, not open yet but are offering some facilities.
Should be open by weekend - hope so we get there on sunday.
Another fine Goan cock-up, six of out friends are already there.I am not sure if they really want tourists.
Anyway soon be there , too late to worry now.
Thurs 8th Nov. - just an update - the shack got its licence today so it will be built tomorrow ??
I don't know about others but I would expect they are all in the same position.

Nothing Sleep will text again over the weekend. I know where he lives the mobile reception is very poor and he doesnt always get the text messages straight away. But if the shack was opening you would think he would be in Goa by now? I will keep you posted.

Just heard that the lots for shack licences will be allocated on the 14th November.Allan.

to stop this thread offtopic I've upped the bacardi breezer thread for any discussions to continue there 
to make things easier for members I thought it might be a good idea just to have a thread where we list shacks that are open and keep it updated. For discussion please just use the shack licence thread. Anyone want to start with ones we KNOW are up and running?

Claudine's shack in Candolim is open. The rest are due to open on Wednesday 21st November.
The shack licences for North Goa were issued today (it's South Goa's turn tomorrow) so we can expect the beach to resemble a construction site for the next few days.
I would love to be over there to watch the shacks going up, some of the designs are very complicated. but then again, perhaps it is better if I dont know, what the eye's don't see the mind dosen't know. especially when it comes to the toilets.
