100mls max , well it was on tuesday anyway...we weren't tested for Flu ,although there were 1 or 2 officials knocking about in white coats and we had to fill a basic medical card in on arrival...hope this helps

Thanks - it seems that sometimes they will let you take water through and other times they will not ! The swine flu checks seem to be more paper orientated at the moment but no doubt they are keeping an eye on pasengers !! Thanks

Came back on Thursday nght - all the notices say no liquids beyond 100ml. I took a bottle of water and hubby took two and we got through the 2 security checks all intact. Lots of others were binning their bottles, but we took a chance and were ok.

We always just take them through too . The worst that could happen is they take them away .

Thanks - we will take a bottle through and wait and see what happens - thanks

What tends to happen with us is that we grab a few bottles from the hotel (they usually include bottles as part of the A/I's there).

There are 5 of us and we all take one each minimum ,so seperate bottles for each bag and they normally all make it through to the other side . Not sure if things have changed since our last trip as they now have at turkish airports (our other frequent holiday destination) but regardless of what the signs say we wont be giving them up until asked .

Thanks - we will take a bottle each as you suggest

On a similar subject we came through Taba airport a couple of days ago and you could have probably got anything through let alone a big bottle of water, the security checking was useless, they may as well not bothered at all, it would have made no difference.
They seem to take security more serious at the hotels than at the airports.

Arrived home this morning (2am) into Manchester

Arrivals is total Chaos but you now DO NOT need a visa for Ras Mohamed

Departures is more organised and yes there is no problem taking water into departure hall and if you can do it as the drink airside is very expensive

BTW there is no longer any WiFi in the building for public use
