thinking of going A I but would like to go out the hotel to experience local bars hotel and history, (don't want to be stuck in the same hotel for 14 days) would like to treat my wife to romantic meals, walk along the beach, drinks at sunset etc.
Also would you recommend A I (usually go to turkey/dubai/bangkok) wouldn't touch A I with a barge pole
my wife deserves the most romantic time I can give her

Look at the hotels along the prom in Naama for beaches, a nice walk and location but these arent all incl. It is cheap to eat and drink. Hotels here are Marriott, Novatel, Hilton Fayroux and Jolie Ville.
In Egypt you will get what you pay for. You might think you have ound a good all incl deal but will end up disappointed and possibly get dreaded pharaohs revenge.
The Hyatt is lovely but not cheap either and just outside Naama.
i don't mind trips in fact normally book 4/5 in a fortnight to break up the sunbathing
just looking for a romantic hotel/resort to spoil my wife
think my total holiday budget is £2500 inc spending money.
please help
Have you thought about El GOuna... its still on the Red Sea, man made resort built on beautiful blue lagoons, ten hotels in total i think in the resort - absolutely fantastic. You have the choice of a romantic evening in the Marina area, or a stroll downtown/tamr henna where lots of outdoor entertainment going on. We just love it, and think its a million times better than sharm as its a hassle free resort - you can wander around without anyone in your face. Also transport, £2 per week for bus/sea taxi, £1.50 for a taxi anywhere in El Gouna, or 50p per person for a tuk tuk. Its a magical resort, and we are returning for the 4th time in three years at xmas! Ticks all our boxes for sure, its a little gem.
Hi I didnt say Sharm wasnt the best resort - it is NOT for history. I didnt like Hurghada but each to their own. I love Sharm and have bought there but the areas are very diverse. There are lots of trips you can do. You can go to St Catherines, Dahab, Tiran Island, Quads etc etc.
http://www.fourseasons.com/sharmelsheikh/ also you can hire a limo also the hyatt http://sharmelsheikh.regency.hyatt.com/hyatt/hotels/index.jsp
hi well one the best hotels is the four seasons here the link to the hotel never heard of it as never been to egypt
that sounds delightful and the kind of thing i had in mind is it better to go ai, half board etc
carron thanks
