Can anyone tell me what the shops ( if any) are like at the airport on the way home.
Sorry if this has already been covered.
Sorry meant to say its the Monastir Airport
One other quick question, I was thinking that if I never got the chance to change cash at the airport would tips be excepted in sterling. I have a coach transfer so don't need taxi fares.
Dont know what time your flight home is but I always save a fiver to change on the last day if Im running short of dinar (tea time flights). Dont leave yourself too many dinar to use up in the airport as its only the cafe that accepts them and the prices are astranomical
shops r very expensive....just bk from the sahra beach hotel today.....had to pay 12 pounds for 2 sandwhiches ,juice and crisps.........OMG.
also £4.50 for a twix n mars bar......just laughed and put them bk...make sure u take sum sandwhiches or sumtihn for the air port as its really expensive....
We had a few euros with us, as we had left from other holidays, the shop takes them and so does the cafe, we got two sandwiches, 2 chocolate bars and 2 drinks which we had to sit outside on the floor to eat as there was no seats anywhere. That came to around 18euros, for our snack so quite expensive!!
Bought a coffee and cake at Monastir airport once and the price sounded high so I queried it. They were quoting me in kroners as they thought I was Scandinavian. Don't buy Mars bars there as they are astronomically expensive.
They had an extensive range of gifts that were reasonably priced (as well as booze etc.).
- in particular, a lovely selection of funky kids/teens watches (byBijoux) for around £10.
HI, we came home from tunisia on sunday, shops are fine at the airport you can buy the things you normally buy at other duty free shops etc ciggies £14 for 200, booze,& perfume, theres also a cafe there so you can have a bite to eat and a drink. If you want to know any more i'll be happy to help.Meggy BEWARE the duty free shop do not accept CASH CARDS ( solo or switch) only C,CARDS or Stirling & euros.
